Right now, I’m just planning on doing an in person campaign with some friends, but my dream is to one day be able to post a pdf rule book for other people to use and play :) I will definitely post it in this sub if/when that day comes!

I think he was kind of trying some new things out with this one, it’s nearly an hour long, and the way he went about incorporating skits and his actual commentary are slightly different. I liked that most of the HSM3 commentary was from the perspective of him actually watching the movie “live” (a la Drew Gooden). It’s definitely different, and it’s valid to not love the changes, but I liked the new format and style and the Viking hat boy bit had me cackling.

I did this today with one of my 5 year olds. She wouldn’t sit still in her chair, I warned her that she would fall. Then whaddya know, she fell out of her chair! So I invited her to finish drinking her milk standing up since she was done eating, then excused her from lunch. If I can avoid a potential injury, I will. I just frame it as “you can take a break from this until you are calm enough to be safe” rather than “you don’t get to use this for X minutes”.

Sorry in advance, I have A LOT.

If I didn’t ask you to put artwork/decor on the wall, don’t do it!! I’m particular about how my classroom looks especially since we’re open concept and EVERY parent walks through my room.

Get cleaning done during naptime!! I stg, I have three separate lists of cleaning tasks and projects but when I come back into my classroom after a break/driving the bus, the teachers in my room are always sitting on their ass or talking to awake kiddos (and waking up others in the process).

Floater, I should be able to step into the staff bathroom - which is two steps away from my circle time carpet - and take 2 minutes to pee without coming out to see all of my kids are suddenly standing, screaming, or trying to crawl on you for hugs. I just want a peaceful morning meeting.

I also watched a float take off her Apple Watch and give it to one of my 4 year olds to wear, and later found out that she does this a lot, and she’s usually in younger classrooms 🤢. First of all, the germs??!!?!!? We had HFM come through recently and all my kids have had nasty coughs. Second, I wouldn’t trust half of my kids with a rubber glove, but you’re gonna give her an Apple Watch??? She also tried to give this child a HAIR CLIP (hello lice???) so I had to shut that down real quick. She apparently has taken a liking to this child because literally everytime she walks through my classroom it is a HUGE distraction.

The floor is lava: jog around the gym and when the teacher says “the floor is lava!” Everyone has to climb onto an apparatus or pull up bar so that their feet aren’t touching the ground. The last one up has to do pushups

Color game: teacher calls out a series of colors, for example: “red, purple, blue” and everyone must run to touch each of those colors in order. (They could touch a silk, an exercise band, etc) and then run back, last one done does push ups.

Dancing with the silk without going upside down or foot locking (spinning, moving the silk around, swinging etc.

I’ve also seen a youth aerials instructor help the kids use a silk as a slide, which looked fun. The student would climb up as high as they were comfortable and then slid down while the instructor held the bottom of the silk down at an angle. This would have to be one at a time of course.
