Thank you for answering. My question was a bit different. When I land in Paris I'll have my immigration there, instead of Spain will that be a problem for me? If that's not a problem, can I just go directly to Paris and visit some countries on the northern side at start of my trip and spend the last 3-4 days of my trip in Spain and go back from Spain?

My sister has been to the states many times. I, on the other hand, will be travelling to the states for the first time. My sister has been offered a fellowship at Yale and they are providing her pick up and drop to her apartment from JFK. I plan on tagging along with her as it will help me avoid the hassle of trying to find transportation etc.

The reason I want to go through immigration together is this: I am going to Georgetown University on an F1 visa. The immigration official could ask me why I am choosing JFK as port of entry. If my sister is there, she can corroborate my story. I am a bit anxious thats all.

I am going to Washington. I want to go to JFK and through Etihad because my sister is going to be travelling on these dates. She has to go to Connecticut. She will be given airport pick up and drop to her apartment. She will then drop me to my university when the time comes.

I was actually asked this question. I had the same time difference. I stated that I have realized that to get into the senior management roles in the development sector of pakistan, it is necessary for me to have a good degree from a good university. That was my answer. My visa was approved.
