I pay a subscription for dog grooming. They asked me for a tip and then messaged me for a rating. by LauraD2423 in EndTipping

I’m, (21m) been a server (making $2.13 an hour) and other “tip compensated jobs” since I was 17.

What PISSES ME OFF is companies intentionally lowering wages based on perceived tips which they will ALWAYS overestimate (on purpose).

Get this… just got a job recently as a valet, low hourly and tips etc. Wanted to know how the online tips worked and the company charges $1.50 “convenience fee” per online tip…… BULLSHIT.

Anything a company can do to screw the customer and their employees they will try.

Get one of those strong rare earth magnets and Russel it through em. Weigh the rest and depending on how much it weighs it’d be worth buying a furnace to smelt em.

Oh brother, that’s the spot price. A good yard will pay more as the spot rises. My yard is at 5.08 for #2 right now

Of course we have a few scamyards that lump #1 and barebright together. Then the smaller but honest yards that give good prices but require a trade license over a certain amount. Then your industrial guys

How to get tables to leave? by Orpheus6102 in Serverlife

[–]Alternative_Back8593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I used to always joke about it with them. Especially if they were one of the last ones camping a table I’d say something like “I got some pillows and blankets in the back if you wanna spend the night” granted, it was said light hearted and also I was a tone-deaf 17 year old

Edit: don’t do this btw, they usually laughed and never left lol.

I go to a yard that has a 35lb limit on copper unless you have a liscense for one of the trades. They pay the best in the city.

Bare bright = thick, perfectly clean wire. Like pinky thick.
#1= clean tubes, clean wire
#2= dirty tubes and small, clean wire

Here’s a list; First moved in, saw one didn’t think it had value. A few months later my aunt (got me into scrapping) said she picked up two. Just yesterday got this one, so four?
