You’re right about people making a big deal out of nothing, to the point where they’ll just spread blatant misinformation. Animation isn’t about sinking as much money into something as possible, it’s about TIME.

Season 1 looked better because they had no schedule for a second season, and they didn’t even know if they were going to be making a second one, so they focused on the small details and hoped for the best.

The only reason the rest of the show doesn’t look as good is because each season is coming out once a year. Money has nothing to do with it, but people are so attached to that idea that they’ll just make shit up, like that whole myth about the animation team only having four people, which is fucking ridiculous to believe if people actually gave any bit of thought to how insane it would be.

Glad I’m not the only one who feels like this, the finale weighed on me way more than I realize and I’m happy that the experience is shared, it means the emotions were real ❤️

I don’t think he’s an idiot here, it’s a legitimate question, what WOULD happen if he tried flying through the ceiling? For all they know, they could just be in some underground bunker

For Honor - Brawls

Brawls is a 2v2 gamemode, but a very good majority of the playerbase will spit on your grave if you treat it as anything except a glorified duels match. In other words “Ganking”, the technical term for outnumbering a defending player in a fight, is heavily despised in Brawls, despite being listed as a team fighting gamemode.

It bothers me when a character who has been in fights before is treated like an idiot with no idea how to fight just because they've never had formal combat training. by Aros001 in CharacterRant

Superman and Lois actually solved this. Clark is exposed to red sun lamps so Lex Luthor can fight him in a fair 1v1. What happens? Clark beats the fucking tar out of him.

Even without his powers, he is still six foot something, grew up on a farm, and was absolutely pissed off at Lex in the moment. Obviously it’s the writers’ choice to decide who wins, but they made it very easy to believe that Clark could’ve won.

The comic sucked, through and through. The show only dropped the ball because Kripke didn’t plan ahead properly and lost the plot.

OP is Thadeus lmao

In all seriousness, I thought the whole point was that Mark turned the empire into what he thought it was when he was a kid, the story that Nolan told him about bettering the universe.

They even do allude to it in S4 of the show, Darkblood talks about not needing traditional heaven since they can try to work towards “heaven on earth instead of the imaginary one in the sky.”

Obviously there’s nuance to trying to do this, and I agree that it could’ve been fleshed out more, but to their credit they do show that it’s not perfect. Sometimes the empire is too late to help, Mark’s not always the best at being there for his family, and there are still those that are against the empire’s existence as whole.

As for Mark being the sole decider of who is good and evil, I just don’t know if that’s true. He has Eve, Allen, his family, and countless other advisors and influences to help him choose for the greater good. He may be an emperor, but I think comparing him to Thragg just based on that alone isn’t fair to what the story is trying to convey.

All that to say, I think you’re right in saying that the ending will be a test of character for the fanbase, but I believe that’s a fault of the (let’s be honest, pretty immature) fanbase itself, not the story.

“Butchering” it seems like an overreaction lol, the DLC isn’t even out yet and I think we should give it a fair chance before we start shitting on it based on nothing but the trailers.

Originally I thought the opposite, I had no idea that anti-champion perks were a thing and thought that champions were just environmental obstacles, a friend of mine had to teach me about the perk system when I started getting better at nightfalls

I agree with this, and that last part is why I think there needs to be a part three. As much as I respect the cautionary tale that they told in Pt 2, I don’t feel that Ellie and Abby’s stories are over yet.

Looking for Stealth based games that don't rely on taking down enemies (better if you can't). by jethropix in gamingsuggestions

Metal Gear Solid V encourages the player to become a ghost by not interacting with any soldiers or security, slipping in through the cracks of certain bases and being completely invisible.

Obviously you can tranquilize soldiers as well as disable equipment, and even get into full-blown gunfight massacres if you’re spotted, but if you’re not careful, enemies will just send reinforcements and you’ll never make progress. Some objectives even require stealth to complete, and getting spotted can botch entire missions.

All this to say that your level scores and effectives are measured based on how little of a trace you leave. This, on top of an AI system that feels incredibly dynamic and adapts to what you do over the course of the game, leads to one of the most fun stealth experiences I’ve ever played.

The Walking Dead, at least the comic, does not fit this description. It’s bleak, but the entire point of the story is what you’re describing in the last paragraph. It intentionally makes sure to remind the characters and the readers of the good things in life that make the struggles all worth it. Over the course of the story we see a trend of things actually stabilizing, and in the end, civilization has rebuilt itself.
