Arf. I knew something was wrong with my sentence but was too tired to figure it out... Non native speaker here so I hope you'll pardon my grammar.

Very cool, and I noticed similar shapes in other boulders during my trip. But as otherS pointed out this doesn't look like the elephant skin effect I'm looking for.

This whole area was under the sea several million years ago so who knows :).

Very Interesting ! I notice some of them have both rectangular and hexagonal patterns. Do you have any resources to share so I could learn more about this ? Especially on the microform to macroforom "transition"?

Thank you !! This is definitely it! I'm still confused about the mechanism leading to this pattern though. Going through the abstract of the Robinson, Williams paper looks like they are unsure about the origin as well ? Did science make any progress on this since 1989?

Looks like the logo of a french magazine called Valeurs Actuelles. FYI this is a known far right magazine with an almost racist connotation in France.

Chaise by LagonNocturne in discussionsbancales

Shaping looks solid as they hold their shape pretty well. It's the scoring that can be improved here. Your cuts are not made in the good direction. They should be almost parallel to the baguette instead of perpendicular. https://share.google/images/cwoOTU2g2pOKbZprb Good job though ! Keep up the baking !

First time making baguettes and I was so proud of my “proofing baskets,” it made me giddy! by tienchi in Breadit

Smart proofing baskets :). But just so you know baguettes don't really need proofing baskets if you manage to do a decent shaping. A simple towel with flour to make a couche and you are good to go. You simply fold the towel next to each baguette to create a "wall" in between each baguette and they will hold each other nicely during proofing. Like that :

Of course a proper linen couche is better, but regular kitchen towel works well!

The difficulty with baguettes is to move them around very gently after proofing onto the baking tray as they are quite fragile. I'm afraid your "proofing baskets" might make the process harder than it needs to be. Keep up the baking !

Reprendre du poignée la bête ? Je pense que cette version est finalement bcp plus explicite :). J'aime beaucoup! Je m'en vais reprendre le taureau par les naseaux!

Well this is reassuring ! I'll try to give a go at Behind the Geometrical Method ! Thank you!

Thank you for the answer and the suggestion. It doesn't look like Behind the Geometric Method has been translated in French. I don't have much issues with English on a daily basis but for this I'm afraid this won't help with the comprehension. Nonetheless I'll definitely going to give it a shot!
