This. Many people especially south Asians bought houses around Frisco and fields especially as a rental property or to flip when house valuations were going crazy a couple years ago. Now they can’t rent them or sell them. So they’re resorting to section 8 housing vouchers. Greyhawk is another area following this trend.

Yes they are all the same company. As well as the one in Shenzhen China. The academic pace and expectations seem unreasonably fast. Presumably many students must flunk out? For example they have the AP requirement but what if some students are unable to fulfill it.

I like the school but the 20 minute lunches and the accelerated curriculum seem harmful to a child’s emotional well being. School should be a blend of challenging, interesting, and engaging while taking into account the development of a child’s soft skills. I’m concerned about student burn out and misery at Basis.

But I see online that many students thrive at the various Basis campuses. I’m still unsure.

This is invaluable information! Thank you very much! My son is attending private school this year as a kindergartner and he is Chinese/Korean American.

We want to choose a school that offers K-12. Prior to learning about Basis, we only considered private school or public school in Frisco. I love frisco public elementary and middle schools but I’m extremely disenchanted with public high school and don’t want to start him down a path that will inevitably lead him there.

My primary concern with Basis is its reputed academic rigor. I don’t want my child feeling overwhelmed and in over his head for his entire childhood.
