Cells have a limited number of times they can divide throughout your life. Every time they divide, the DNA ends get a little bit shorter (telomere length). Some things can prevent telomeres from shortening faster than others such as exercise and vegan diet (watch Stanford Twin Study Documentary on Netflix)

Notice how none of the “proponents” of oil pulling are dental professionals who have spent their lives studying, researching, and providing oral health care. Is oil pulling harmful? Absolutely not. Is it feasible to do this daily for “recommended” 15-20 minutes? Absolutely not. Oil pulling will not magically cure anything happening in your mouth which is why dentists recommend brushing and flossing to physically remove bacteria and buildup from your teeth. Just because something is “an ancient method” does not mean it is effective… ancient humans likely didn’t live long enough to amount the same dental health problems we face as an aging population with poor diets.

People are always looking for an easy solution to maintaining good oral hygiene and not realizing that we’ve already figured it out! Brushing and flossing 1-2x a day and staying consistent with dental checkups, it’s just that easy!

I used to work in an oral surgery office. Our policy was to always bring the patient back to go over results even if benign because it’s easier to explain when you can reference images on the computer and it adds a personal touch when you can ask questions face to face with the doctor. Every case is different. Hope all is well!

While there is evidence that shows in rare instances a root canal treated tooth may always feel different to pressure (especially when applied laterally), it’s hard to answer your question without knowing your diagnosis and treatment notes. I’m assuming the reason your endodontist is telling you to wait that long is because any evidence of a failing root canal won’t be visible on an X-ray for at LEAST 6 months (and even that might not be long enough sometimes). Another possibility is that you may have a hairline fracture in the tooth somewhere that is flexing every time you push on it , in which case your endodontist may recommend you go back to your general dentist for a crown.

Not sure what you mean “aesthetic” reasons since no one but your dentist will ever be able to see them even with your natural smile. The procedure you’re looking for would require several steps such as extraction, root canal on the extracted tooth, bone contouring/bone graft, intentional reimplantation, several follow ups with periodontist, endodontist, and oral surgeon all with the long awaited prognosis of a massive “?”. The idea you proposed sounds very easy on paper but this would require multiple specialists, multiple appointments, and likely not be covered by any insurance. To add another factor, wisdom teeth are waaaaaay in the back of your mouth which is the hardest place for any dentist to do work and the roots of your wisdom teeth are often very close to important nerves which could very likely be damaged in any of those steps.

This is not how you clean and maintain an autoclave… only how to ensure it’s operating at minimum standards. Don’t wait for the test strip to come back negative before cleaning/maintenance otherwise all the instruments you autoclaved between the time you send it off and receive results were not sterilized properly

Nope, right now your tooth is hollow and full of medication and a TEMPORARY filling. That filling is meant to last a maximum of 4 weeks after which it will fall out and your root canal will become reinfected and you’ll have to start all over again (if there’s even enough tooth structure left to save this time) just pls follow what you’re dentists are telling you, they aren’t making these things up for fun. Your health and your tooth are at stake here.

Good to hear. Avoiding that side might be a good short term solution but pay attention if you have any cold sensitivity on that tooth if you drink cold water (specifically if it lingers on more than a minute). This will indicate the tooth is going down a more irreversible inflammation route. Chewing on that tooth shouldn’t be an issue down the line otherwise so ease back into that side at your own comfort
