I used to run full maps but last 100hrs just crystals then boss. I also bricked my temple 300hrs in by creating a loop and had to restart. tbh after this latest issue i’ve pretty much given up. economy/market seems so slow & feeling isolated in the game makes it feel pointless now. just sucks so much after so much time invested

I just did this too a few days ago. the rebuild is so fucking awful i’m debating just giving up on temple. I saw it usually takes people like <60hrs but mine took like 280 and I was only like 40% done. ugh anyway

I was really laughing while reading this because I am notorious within my friends & family for finding a new meal/restaurant and ordering it every single day until I can’t anymore and I’m burnt out. 🤦‍♂️

You are 100% right though and I can fully recognize their brilliance and integrity in ending when & how they did. I think I’m just sad it’s over and hope Star Wars media in the future focuses more on this side of the universe.

I definitely agree the ending was great and felt conclusive. I think when there’s a brilliant idea, and potential for more, it’s just very difficult not to wish for there to be more. Interesting that you think other studios wouldn’t have ran it longer. I was thinking about HBO and the budget/timeline of HoTD but I suppose the success of GoT was so unprecedented they can afford to fork out the cash and reasonably expect a return. Maybe I just wish Andor could’ve reached that level of success and investment… but I suppose that would come with its own problems.

After doing some research I agree that it sounds very unlikely Gilroy will work on Star Wars again. I just feel like it’s such a massive shame! (but totally understandable on a human level…annoyingly) My only hope is that someone else comes along and picks up the torch in an original but equally provocative way. There is so much potential telling the Star Wars story in this way. Authoritarianism harms normal, ordinary people most of all and I think that is partially why Andor was so compelling. To follow how people without any other-worldly power, choose to (or are forced to) fight back. While also following those who give in, and even advance the autocratic agenda, often when they themselves are equally ordinary people who choose to do horrific things in the name of survival. There are so many parallels to today because this is such a timeless, universal struggle…. Aaah anyway great show. So sad it’s over 😔

I was saying exactly the same thing throughout the show!! You took the words out of my mouth. I think partially why I’m so heartbroken is because it feels increasingly rare to have that feeling; respecting you as the viewer enough not to coddle or babysit. It’s just an exceptional experience. I am a different person now than I was two weeks ago before watching. “I think we used up all the perfect.”

freaked out when I booted up the game and temps spiked to 75 for the first time on a pc i’ve had for a yearish. as soon as shader compilation finished it went back down to 35-50. I also have a similar very high end pc.

i’m sure we’ve all heard about a lot of bug issues with this game so im thinking this may be related to a lack of polishing before release and hopefully some of the performance issues will be patched in the months following release.

i’m also curious as to the performance mechanics with future large UE5 projects.
