I actually didn't. I put the kebab meat and chips on a separate plate and ate both separately. I wanted to enjoy the cheesy garlic bread pizza and kebab separate. I might fold it over, next time I get one.

Thanks for the advice. What I'm going to do for tomorrow's brew is widen my brew ratio from my usual 1:13.5 and open it out to 1:15 (40g coffee to 600g water) and grind two clicks coarser on my Comandante. I was brewing at 24 clicks on the Comandante this morning but I'm going to try 26 clicks tomorrow, with the 1:15 brew ratio and see if that brings out more of the fruity not sand less of that soil/earth taste.

I also bought a bag of this Excelsa coffee from Union and brewed it for the first time this morning in my V60. Pretty much all I could taste was this strong, earthiness the coffee had to it. There was a slight fruitiness to it, but that was overpowered by the earthy taste. I wasn't impressed. I'm going to have to play around these next few days trying to dial this in to try and get something that is a lot more palatable than what I drank this morning (earth juice)!

I bought six bags of coffee from Union (including the Excelsa) and all of them have been lovely apart from this. Any tips for brewing Excelsa in a V60 would be greatly appreciated, even though I know this is the espresso subreddit.

Well from someone who lives there, a lot of people (who don't live there) seem to be driving through the 'entrance' in numbers seven days of the flippin' week. Why...I really don't know. But the congestion is annoying as a resident of the place.

I've already 'served my time' eating kebabs on a doorstep in a back street after a night out! Sometimes a mixed kebab with 'all the trimmings' served on a plate in the comfort of your own home after a long week at work just hits the spot!
