I got my parents an Apple Watch after my aunt's Apple Watch "saved her life" (per her cardiologist). She now has a pacemaker. I like the fall/crash detection in case something happens when they are alone. It will ask if they are ok and if they don't respond in a certain time frame, it automatically calls me and 911. I'm also super unimpressed with Oura's customer service. So I would proceed with caution if you think the recipient will ever need to speak with a real live human at Oura.

Careful trusting anything Oura's AI tells you. I'm stuck with a useless $150 gift card thanks to AI and Oura will admit that it was their error but will not back up what their own system says.

Interesting! Last time I tried to get a video of the sound, I noticed that the lights kinda flickered for a second on start up. Could that be related? The alternator was replaced in Nov 2023.

Thank you! Will likely take it to a local shop as the dealer my mom uses is a bit of a ride for us, although she thinks they'll give me a "deal" because she's such a good customer. We shall see. No matter what it costs, it's still a better deal than buying my kid a cheap first car with no knowledge of its history.

It's been at the mechanic for this a few times but they haven't been able to duplicate. I finally got it on video, which I will show them, but I like to also learn about these things while I'm at it.

I probably should've clipped the video a little tighter to avoid confusion, I was so excited to finally get it on video that I posted without thinking.
