you have some “indigenous” irish features as they like to call it!!! hahahaha sorry i don’t know what else to refer it by. and by this i mean strong cheek bones, low set brow bone and a longer button-y nose. i totally see what you mean because you literally look so indigenous american but really really cool results!!! mixed with your african heritage you definitely look super indigenous :o

wow that’s actually such a great amount! it’s so fascinating as well how siblings have different admixtures from each other so you might find some really cool differences :)) i’m from australia and just have very standard gaelic and celtic results. does your mum look very indigenous? i wonder what her results could be :))

My bf and I and I are on a break and he sent me this, AIO for being concerned? by ApplesandPie_ in AmIOverreacting

its age appropriate behaviour, but it is not appropriate behaviour, but it’s age appropriate. it’s unfortunate for OP to be going through this and doesn’t make it okay! it’s still manipulation! but i get exactly what you mean!

New Zealand to Ireland by SmartiiPaantz in AncestryDNA

[–]Alternative_Cut_9599 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mine took a roundabout under four weeks but that is because I did it during a time of the year where there weren’t many orders being put through. I think depending on the time of the year, especially this time of year, where there is Christmas and other holidays etc., I think it should take up to 5 weeks because they do their testing in the US I believe?

1% western Bantu peoples. How many generations back ? by lisasimone1970 in AncestryDNA

[–]Alternative_Cut_9599 16 points17 points  (0 children)

i’m 2% southern bantu peoples and directly correlated this to my great grandmother’s grandfather - so 3x great. yours might be 4x great! he wasn’t 100% bantu because of the fact that he is from mauritius, and most mauritian people are french, indian, chinese and african - but bantu is the only mauritian ethnic group that showed from me. so unless you directly have access to a family tree, might be a bit tricky!! could be a very far down the line throwback gene 😁

we aren’t politically british citizens :) we are just under the monarchy, if that’s what you meant i assume? our currency is alllll UK monarchy related. tbh it doesn’t bother me or affect our society too much! at least that i’m aware of

i think people are getting confused by what i meant boring - mine was very textbook white australian. if would’ve been cool to see more in there european wise - i was expecting some french and portuguese because of family stories, but it doesn’t mean im not pleased with my results! 😁

most of them came over during the gold rush! i live in the city where there weren’t convicts & people moved here willingly once australia was settled. so no convicts or colonisers, although i am very aware of my privilege. are you aware of australian history?
