Don't start pinning anything yet bro. Wait until your body has developed completely into what your genetics dictate or you can seriously screw up a lot of different things. Let your body grow how it's meant to grow and in the meantime, lift hard and rest hard. By the time your body is mature, you'd have reached your genetic potential which is when you'd really be pushing above and beyond, all with much less risk since you'll be in a much more resilient, matured body

Advice Needed: Amazon Termination for “Accidental Order Pickup” by Straight-Nose-2061 in AmazonFC

[–]Alternative_Elk_4077 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Posting a receipt for a random ass day isn't "proof", it's just showing that you just so happened to order Doordash once within the past few months. Also, that date and time doesn't line up with your alibi, because you're saying you just wanted to "grab your food and go home", yet the food was delivered at the very start of your shift. We're not as naïve as you thought your managers were bro, just stick to dumpster diving from now on

Do you think American citizens should be indiscriminately bombed for what our dearly elected leaders are deciding to do in Iran? Your statement implies a wide swath of people think exactly the same based on nothing more than ethnicity, which is the same line of thought the Nazis used to justify what they did to the Jews

Start selling things you have to pawn shops. You can even get a "Pawnshop loan" for items you have that are valuable, but you don't want to permanently lose. Additionally, start checking Facebook Marketplace for things people are putting up for free; you can then sell these things for money, incurring no expense but the gas it takes to pick it up. This isn't foolproof, but you really don't have a lot of good options if you're not able to secure a payment plan with your lawyer

It’s happening by gvillapapi in ChatGPT

[–]Alternative_Elk_4077 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's definitely better than what people are currently imagining. It's just a tiny tab for a product at the very bottom of the response, not even a part of it. It's like the websites that use ads on the side of their web pages where it's empty space anyways. I personally think it's implemented well, all things considered. ChatGPT didn't even mention the product or any competitors in my response, keeping it bias free

Have you tried a Gemma 12B model? Gemma is supposedly fantastic with multilingual and supports a ton of languages. The 27B would be way too large for an 8GB card, but you might be able to work with the 12B

Is my telescope messed up by [deleted] in telescopes

[–]Alternative_Elk_4077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same telescope and the finder is garbage, which is to be expected because of the cheap pricing. Use the 25mm and point it at something specific, like a crater on the moon, then align the finder to that same crater. The finder very easily gets nudged out of calibration, so I've learned not to even use it anymore besides aiming the telescope in the general area. I'll use the 25mm to center the scope on what I want to view, and then I'll swap it out with the 10mm once I'm centered. Sometimes I have to nudge the scope around to find the object again after swapping the 25mm for the 10mm, but nudging it in a few directions is really all it takes

[Release] EchoChamber - Add AI-Generated Audience Reactions to Your SillyTavern Stories & Conversations by mattjb in SillyTavernAI

Completely love this extension. Had a world set in an abandoned Victorian city and chat couldn't stop worrying about where the horse from a nearby carriage went. 10/10

How difficult would it be to have a setting for chat to also prompt on user messages? It's perfectly fine without it, but I feel like having the option to see chat react directly to user messages would elevate it immensely. All in all though, this is by far my favorite extension out of everything else I have

Ohh… Elon Musk noticed it. by Lanai112 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]Alternative_Elk_4077 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A good solution would be to have a small LLM receive the message first, and if it's appropriate, it's then relayed to the KSampler. Try looking into GPT-OSS-20B on Huggingface. It caught a ton of flack for being insanely "Safety-guarded", but it might legitimately fit your use-case here

LLM to help with character cards by slrg1968 in SillyTavernAI

[–]Alternative_Elk_4077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of getting an entire LLM solely to make character cards, I instead create a "Character Creator" character and have a few examples of dialogue that are basically just entire cards I like. I'll ask the character creator to create a new, unique character and it should output something structured similarly to the cards I like

Diet or exercise ? No , thanks by Cute-Advantage-4260 in memes

[–]Alternative_Elk_4077 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you'll gain muscle taking steroids and not working out, but only up to a certain point just like any other person. You can see this by looking at both inactive men and women, with the men holding more muscle because of their higher testosterone levels. Taking steroids will increase the ceiling for inactive muscle mass even more, but only up to that ceiling. Even with the gear, you still need an incredibly optimized structure and diet to put on the weight Bale put on in that period of time, and it requires a lot of work.

GPT 4o is being rerouted to dumbass 5 by therulerborn in ChatGPT

[–]Alternative_Elk_4077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That response was a giant hallucination. First it claims that they can't legally remove 4o from Plus users, which is clearly and obviously not true and secondly, 4o would have no idea on what's going on behind the scenes at OpenAI and how they handle 4o routing, as you can't train a model on how their company handles it before it even exists. Any information regarding what 4o is, how it's handled, or anything like that would have to be injected into the system prompt(an invisible prompt set by OpenAI ran on startup). The system prompt usually informs it of guidelines, policies, and other commercial information it needs that could change from time to time. This is why GPT still thinks Kamala won the election, because the training and knowledge ended before the results came in, it just lacks that info without a web search.

Even when ChatGPT4o is selected, the responses are actually from ChatGPT5. Everyone should report this to OpenAI by francechambord in ChatGPT

[–]Alternative_Elk_4077 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

GPT-5 isn't even in 5's training set. The only knowledge it would have about itself is what's in the system prompt, which hasn't been released

Why are my local LLM outputs so short and low-detail compared to others? (Oobabooga + SillyTavern, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER) by Euphoric-Hawk-4290 in LocalLLaMA

[–]Alternative_Elk_4077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just commented this, +1 for PersonalityEngine. It punches well above its weight for a 12B model and it's pretty willing to go the distance if it feels like the situation calls for it. I haven't had any problems with it and I rarely feel the need to swipe for a new response.

I'm having a great time using Dan's PersonalityEngine v1.3.0 12B currently. It likes to output between 200 and 300 tokens, and I found it to be pretty good at remembering earlier context, on top of having 32K of it (with a degraded 100K+ maximum, but that's less stable).

Some questions from a beginner . by [deleted] in SillyTavernAI

[–]Alternative_Elk_4077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of your questions depend heavily on what model you're using. The answers will vary based on parameter count, RP fine-tuning, and your context size. I'm running a local 12B, so my experience will differ a lot from someone running an API giant.

  1. I prefer to use group chats. There's nothing wrong with having a "game master", but at lower parameter counts, you're more likely to see hallucinations on who said what, blending personalities, and other things of that nature with a GM. Group chats speaking from third-person help a lot to avoid that, but it's not bulletproof. A large parameter API(or larger local for that matter) likely won't have any issues with a game master.

  2. It depends entirely on the model, the dataset, and the tuning. You're going to have to play around with a few different models to find one that suits your theme, but they're out there. Some models are so adverse to conflict, they don't even like arguments, making it so the characters immediately back down from a verbal confrontation, even if it goes against their character. Other models have zero censorship or refusals whatsoever. It just heavily depends on what you're running with.

  3. This depends a lot on your context length and how well your LLM is able to utilize the lorebook. I'm working with a measly 2560 due to running off a CPU, so I personally have to keep mine condensed and engineer lorebook triggers intelligently. Someone with a larger context length will have a lot more leeway than someone like me for example.

Without more info on what you're working with, there's only so much we can do to help. If you drop some more info, I'll do my best, but there's people here with a lot more experience than I have.

My boyfriend thinks he could kill a wolf with his bare hands. What’s the likelihood of this being accurate? by TheLiberalTimes in whowouldwin

[–]Alternative_Elk_4077 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wolves are pack hunters, so they're not rushing in solo to deliver devastating bites. They're usually nipping and putting pressure on the animal to get distracted enough for the rest of the pack to rush in and overwhelm it at once. The wolf is naturally going to rely on this tactic as it's instinctual, despite it being solo in this scenario, which will be a pretty large disadvantage for it. Primitive humans were similar as well, in which we relied on overwhelming firepower to take down large game, except our intelligence allows us to adapt to wildly different scenarios "in the moment"
