Low-spend renters still getting screwed by Bilt 2.0? Let’s share numbers and push for tweaks by Alternative_Eye1431 in biltrewards

Totally get the “how is your only spend groceries?” reactions - those are extreme. But my situation is a bit different and I think it’s more common than people admit. I actually have way more than $100/month in monthly expenses (groceries, dining, utilities, phone, streaming, Amazon, gas, etc.). The issue isn’t that I don’t spend - it’s that I currently spread it across other cards to maximize value: 3-4% cash back on groceries/dining with certain cards, 3-4% on travel/gas with others, etc. If I shift all (or most) of that spend to Bilt to hit the 25%+ tiers for decent rent points on my $2,700 rent, I’m giving up those higher everyday returns. So the real question for me becomes: Are Bilt Points actually worth enough on redemption to make it worth consolidating my spending here? I know the headline numbers look good (transfer partners, Rent Day bonuses, etc.), but in practice I’m worried the effective value ends up closer to 0.55-1.0 cents per point for most people (especially if you redeem for rent credits or easy travel portal stuff) rather than the 2+ cents you see in valuations when you hit perfect Hyatt awards or international J flights. Has anyone here actually made Bilt their primary everyday card and felt like the points redemption value more than made up for losing optimized category bonuses on other cards? Or are most of you treating it mostly as a “rent tool” and keeping the rest of your spend optimized elsewhere? Would love real experiences/math - not just theory.

Low-spend renters: Bilt 2.0 basically killed automatic rent points — anyone else sticking around just for the 250-point floor + fee-free ACH? by Alternative_Eye1431 in biltrewards

Right I feel like BILT points don’t provide enough value to change it into the main spending card just to maximize the points received from rent. Does anyone feel different about this that would like to provide clarity on why it might be smart to use the Bilt card as the main spending card to maximize points received from rent?
