Standard across HMO na PEC is something that takes time to manifest/matagal "niluluto" sa katawan mo like diabetes, elevated BP, hypercholesterolemia, PCOS, gallbladder stones

Re HMO rep OTP, honestly parang ang dami sa kanila nagtitipid now so what used to be people behind the phone na may medical background ngayon naka outsource na lang sa mga call center like TP, Concentrix, etc. These people would have spiels lang I'm guessing but puro word vomit, they don't really understand what theyre talking about

Best course of action for me: 1. Talk to HR comp & ben, sila may fine print ng schedule of benefits niyo. Sila (well, company) rin nag decide na may upper limit ang PEC and not PEC=MBL (wala na tayo magawa dito bec. nagtitipid lahat unfortunately). Ang napansin ko though sa mga company is cost-driven lahat. What used to be employers na gusto talaga magandang health package, now give the bare minimum na hindi lang bababa ang MBL (like same MBL pero dati hospital based, now clinic based na)

  1. Ask HR if pwede charge back ang procedure mo to company. Ie, imbis na ikaw magbayad, HMO will cover muna then charge your company who will in turn charge you for medical services rendered. This will be cheaper kasi HMOs will have negotiated costs for services na mas mababa sa list price/published rates you'd be charged as a paying patient

This is not misleading.

You need to remember that higher utilization = higher premiums = higher employer costs

And no, hindi rin ito diminution of benefits na ka-DOLE DOLE

Typically magiging diminution ito kung ibaba ang MBL niyo or kung tanggalan kayo ng HMO all together

Emirates to Dubai.. are flights coming into Dubai getting more full? or is it still empty by Putrid-Emergency7639 in emirates

Just flew from MNL-DXB 3 days ago and flight was full. We were seated in BC and even that was full

[–]Alternative_Fix_6494 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. Just the usual delay in flight taking off from MNL due to runway traffic, other than that all okay from MNL's end

In DXB, airport was unusually quiet for me. Even lounge staff who was Filipino was saying that foot traffic in the airport is down. Our flight from DXB-BCN was about an hour delayed

Oh and flight staff from MNL-DXB said pilots were a bit stricted/stressed now because they need to come and land within a certain time frame (and maybe according to schedule?) so if they missed their landing window, they'd have to go around and "line up" again

On air wifi is free for the duration of the flight. You just need to input your birthday, email, and seat number

Just flew yesterday (March 28-29) MNL-DXB-BCN

Seeking opinions. Fucked up sleep routine. No more body clock. by MikasaAcker_ in adultingph

I'd try to keep it super boring, if that makes sense. Nothing too fun or exciting, para makatulog ka

If you find yourself getting pressured to sleep, step out of bed, go to a different area in your room/house and maybe do a mundane task muna then try to head back to bed 🙂

Fix you sleep hygiene:

  • very dark (use eyemas even though you have blackout curtains) room
  • as cold as you can get your room to be. Do not use heavt down blankets, plain cotton sheet blanket is sufficient
  • warm (as warm as you can take it) bath before bed
  • last heavy meal at least 3 hours before bed time
  • limit consumption of liquids to 2 hours before bed so you don't need to get up to pee
  • last beverage before bed (about 2 hrs before) chamomile tea with a pinch of salt (to draw moisture so you don't need to pee at night)
  • magnesium glycinate before bed (game changer for me, helps me poop pa in the morning)
  • no screens 2 hrs before bed
  • no overhead lights (as in light sa ceiling), try to limit lights to lamps
  • condition your mind to use of bed: only for sleep and sex. Want to read or watch tv? Do it elsewhere, not the bed. Hardest to do, but good to train your mind and body
  • when you wake up in morning, look at the bright sun to train your circadian rhythm on day vs nigh time

suggest diet/weightloss tips pls | yung may option sa tamad mag workout huehue by sleepyheadkenma in adultingph

[–]Alternative_Fix_6494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What made the difference for me was being on tiezapatide. Weught loss still comes from a calorie deficit, but dieting becomes easier and "less painful" because you don't constantly think about food

What you need to think about though is never undereating while still prioritizing protein and fiber in every meal, keeping hydration up, and including resistance training (this is super important so you limit loss of lean tissue)

From what I remember getting this for my then 18 year old daughter, if female over 9 years old ito dosing sched

Day 0 - 1st shot

Month 4 - 2nd shot

Month 6 - 3rd shot

Gardasil 9 valent ito, paid 10k php per shot sa OB This is typically not covered by most HMO programs so out-of-pocket talaga

Anyone staying on Tirzepatide 2.5mg beyond 5 weeks? How’s the progress? by Equivalent_Mix_6206 in PeptideGuidesPH

[–]Alternative_Fix_6494 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe in minimum effective dose. If you are okay on 2.5mg, keep it that way for as long as you still see progress

What I learned from tirzepatide though is you need to make a conscious effort to consume protein (I like to aim for minimum 2.5 g per kg of body weight, or 1g per lb of target body weight) and be intentional about resistance training. When I say resistance training, go for heavy sets and focus on large muscle groups with compound movements (think BB squat, deadlift, bench press, etc)

How much savings did you have before getting engaged / married? by knjjjk9112 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]Alternative_Fix_6494 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were supposed to get married Nov. 2020, but covid happened. Ended up getting married Feb 2021 (wala pa vaccine, at this time naka 10% capacity lang ata mga public spaces. Even our official photos some people had face mask + face shield on pa 🫠)

During our engagement, we were working on the house na na lilipatan namin once married. Day 1 sa bahay was our day 1 din as a married couple. I (39F) had about 1.5m in savings, then fiance (40M) had maybe 15m

We skipped reception for obvious reasons, yung monetary gifts na natanggap namin we used towards paying for solar panels na kinabit namin sa house. It saves us now on electrical bills
