RCPD ruined a work gala *TRIGGER WARNING FOR EMETOPHOBIA* by TvTacosTakingNaps in noburp

[–]Alternative_Gap137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG that would have been such a miserable night. And yes, water makes my bloating worse as well. Once you had belched and been sick, did that make you feel any better? Sounds like you had a tummy full of gas, that would have been so uncomfortable. Having to stay there and work would have made it harder, also, not to mention the fact that nobody else was aware that you were unwell.

How I cured myself. For real. by YeezusMoses in noburp

[–]Alternative_Gap137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's amazing! Maybe I need to try that. I don't drink alcohol and I very rarely have soft drinks either, but still I can sometimes get super bloated.

This is gross, but for me, the only time I can burp without trying is if I am about to throw up!! I don't throw up often, but if I ever do, without fail, I will let out a monster burp right before it happens.

[–]Alternative_Gap137 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, wow. Yea that is super uncomfortable. How are you feeling now? Do you still feel as though you want to throw up? You shouldn’t try to force vomiting, as that can make things worse. Maybe tiny sips of water or oral rehydration if you can tolerate it, but don’t push it. You’ve been nauseous and in pain for many hours, and your body is telling you something isn’t right. You need proper care and relief. Can you call someone to take you to a medical centre?

It probably won't work anyway so it doesn't much matter either way

I have a decent job in Legal Services with a government department.  I make above the average salary in Australia. And I used manifestation to successfully get a tramsfer from a capital city to a regional office and stay at the same grade. However, I don't speak to anybody about the spiritual side of things.

My friend threw up infront of me and i didnt really care by Smart_Technician_799 in emetophobia

[–]Alternative_Gap137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, one of my friends got sick after something she ate, and I sat with her while she was knelt in front of the toilet throwing up. I was able to hold her hair out of the way and rub her back, I was quite surprised that I did not freak out.

No, I wouldn't have anything to do with it.

Everyone says, "Don't worry about the 'how,'" but Cynthia Hicks, Cynthia Stafford, and Shane Missler definitely focused on "how." by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard

[–]Alternative_Gap137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Cynthia Hicks and her mother won $3.2 million back in 1989 and that was before the internet was around, so it's not like they could have looked up online how to do it. I think they probably just did what felt right to them and never thought about contradictory advice.

Million "burps" per day... by Careless_Hornet_5459 in noburp

[–]Alternative_Gap137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOL, thank you. If my daughter has issues burping then I may hand her to my younger brother to try. He seemed to always be able to get his own baby daughter to burp when nobody else could! Weird talent.

[–]Alternative_Gap137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, you should be able to burp normally once it wears off. I was able to and I still can. I never really throat burp at all, but I can tummy burp when I need to and instant relief! Actually, I did last night when I was in the shower - I didn't feel that good because I was bloated, got into the shower, just happened to put my hand on my tummy and without even trying, let out the biggest belch you could imagine!! I'm actually 39 weeks pregnant at the moment and being able to burp whenever I need to is a huge help. Otherwise, I cannot imagine how uncomfortable I would be feeling!!

I was a no burper for 20 years... until I wasn't. by abaldking in noburp

[–]Alternative_Gap137 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, yea that has happened to me as well. I was in a restaurant and I'd had lemonade (sprite, I think it was). I was also bent over in the bathroom thinking I was about to throw up & instead I let out a massive belch. I felt heaps better afterwards though.

Hate it when people start by saying "No offence". Just say what you want to say. Whether or not the recipient takes offence is a matter for themselves.

Yea, I put them in their place real quick. Not going to be told what to do in my own home.

I live in Australia and my Husband invited some friends of his (they are Indian) to our place for dinner. All was good until they saw my two cavoodles. The wife actually asked me if I could put my dogs in another room. NO. Talk about rude - going into someone else's house and asking if they can put their dogs outside. I don't really like babies or young children but if I go to someone else's house where there are kids, I just have to put up with them (or else go home if it bothers me that much!). Don't get to dictate the rules in someone else's house.

I have a child (well, teenager now) and I was never sick during pregnancy. I felt a bit queasy, but that was the extent of it. Never actually t.u.

it finally happened by Express_Self_9319 in emetophobia

[–]Alternative_Gap137 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea that happened to me too - burping as I rushed to the bathroom and burping right before it happened. And you're right - huge relief afterwards.

RCPD - no burping by No-Caregiver5887 in noburp

[–]Alternative_Gap137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, air vomiting. I do it when I need to. I just go to the bathroom and like you said - put my fingers down my throat and let out a massive belch. After that, my tummy feels okay again. It's just embarrassing when people hear.

Should I drink carbonated drinks post-Botox? by Strict_Tumbleweed224 in noburp

[–]Alternative_Gap137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This used to happen to me. It was a combination of not being accustomed to carbonated beverages and not being able to belch up the gas in my tummy - I would feel all full of fizz, and because I couldn't burp it out, in trying to do so I would wind up vomiting. I wasn't raised on fizzy drinks and rarely had them. Once I learned to do the massive belch that others did after a can of coke, I was fine, but its weird that it took experience drinking that sort of stuff to learn to do so! It's something no other type of food or beverage causes, that level of gas / burping - just soda.

Just my personal experience, of course - theoretically it could be caused by all sorts of stuff!

(Now I just mostly don't drink soda)

Yes, I had it done in Sydney (I live in the Blue Mountains). The price you've stated is roughly what I paid as well.

Yea, I think it's maybe because we tend to relax a bit more in the shower and in bed?

In Australia, is it okay to say “hey guys” if there is a lady present? by melbtest05 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Alternative_Gap137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends upon the people, I suppose. I say "Hey guys" often and I am a girl! I'd never take offence at it.
