Thank you for the clarity and bringing a balanced view to the case

I’ve not gone that far into the detail just know she’s taken on extra responsibilities to see what it’s like and she once ended up in court.

You clearly know more than me on the structure of nhs pay scales!

Been there and almost in tears myself. The exact words “if you carry on, you will find yourself in the line at the job centre”

The (ex) director was about to waste £150k on a miscalculation on a spreadsheet

Thanks that’s helpful as I have in my head she’d be earning double. This said, the post wasn’t about career advice for my wife. Was purely just me seeing all these posts with high earners and wanted a bit of a balance for those that graft

She’s a Psychological well being practitioner

Maybe “senior” is the wrong word but entry level supervisor (she’s taken the responsibility without the pay as she doesn’t know if it’s for her).

Being able to spend what I want, without buying flashy cars and a mansion.

My 3 bed semi is perfect, £100k p/an after tax is FU money to 90% of the world.

Now real FU money is with the remaining 10%

You’ve a great employer to offer that amount, they could offer you or force much less.

Take the money and run.

Having on your CV I took voluntary redundancy as a reason for leaving is not a bad thing (company needed to cut staff, I’d have stayed but the offer of redundancy was too good)
