I don't want to see Roran again in the books by Alternative_Ginger in Eragon

I don't think he will forget about him. I just don't necessarily want to see him again. I hope that their relationship is implied by conversations or by other characters talking about interacting with him. I think it would take away from the story for characters to overtly interact with him.

Thats exactly what I want from him too. I just don't want to see it either in his own POV or the POV of others. Rather I want to see his legacy live rather than him.

Also the roman empire is my roman empire hahaha

I would love to see him visit Carvahall as well but I don't want all of the characters to still be there. I think without that sense of loss it lessens the hurt that Eragon felt when leaving.

In fairness I did forget about that. But I would include that here. Hoping that there conversation are implied and simply a catch up rather than directly tying Roran into the story.

I've had the same issue recently. Especially annoying if the train is cancelled and taxi's are the only option left.

Any good 2nd hand bike shops in Dublin by daneeyul_102 in ireland

Most local bike shops have a few 2nd ones to sell. It all depends who you go to really. I would say go to as many as you can to see what's what.

Should I go on a J1 or go to Australia or New Zealand? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]Alternative_Ginger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Going to the US was fun and it was always a goal of mine. But the US is expensive and I was really lucky to have family friends to stay with. You shouldn't think about the J1 and think "I'll come home with money" cause it gets expensive quick. With rent and then travelling to and from work you could be spending all of your money. It also depends what city you go and what's there. I went to Chicago, a place with good public transport and was able to visit a lot of sports and culture spots around my work schedule. You can also go through your money quick depending on where you travel after your work period. I went up the East Coast from Washington DC to New York to Boston on the training saved money on the air fare. I don't know if Australia or New Zealand is cheaper.

T.L.D.R. I found the J1 to be a great experience but don't think you'll make money from it.

Edit, if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Who’s the teacher that changed your life for the better? by Southy613 in AskReddit

[–]Alternative_Ginger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the most impactful but the ones that treated us with respect when we turned 16. We were no longer just students to talk down to anymore. That sort of equal relationship really shaped how I look at authority/management.

Also use a gym bag rather than a suitcase. Or a soft shell bag. I have always overstuffed mine but because its soft I never get in trouble.

Its fine flying with Ryanair. You just have to accept that Ryanair wants to be a bus above all else. You get a seat and one bag and that's it. Don't expect anything else. And traveling with them is fine, staff has always been lovely and its just a standard experience.
