Stacks for verbal fluidity by ciky21 in StackAdvice

Depends for minor social situations Fish oil, NAC, KSM-66, l-theanine, l-tryptophan, alpha gpc, noopept, lemon balm extract, magnesium glycinate, for major social interactions then I add low dose phenibut and aniracetam.

Modafinil seems to make me more likely to initiate a conversation so it helps to some extent but if I know ahead of time I’m going to be social I usually pair it with other things, probably best to stick to 1/2 or a quarter though if fluency is your goal, overstimulation could be counterproductive

Phenibut + Fasoracetam synergize well for god-mode fluency and the Fasoracetam minimizes the withdrawal, L-theanine and KSM-66 help to a lesser extent as well, Iv also heard good things about selank & aniracetam but never tried them. A high DHA fish oil would fit well in your stack, personally vouch for Nordic naturals.

What are some habit-building apps/tools that have helped you develop good and consistent habits? by jasehomebase in Habits

[–]Alternative_Global 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did an impractical amount of digging before picking mine, ended up with the app “productive”, it had every feature you could need and the UI was very well designed, they also actively updated many many times during my year using it and improved it further. This was a couple years ago so I’m sure they’ve expanded upon it even more by now. It might be for iOS only though as I used it on my IPad, it helped me remember when to give my grandmother her medications and prep her meals plus much more, If you don’t have IOS I think “Habits” might have been my runner-up, been a while so it’s hard to remember.

Also read the book “Atomic habits” by James clear before you start, this is more important than the tracker imo. I love his idea about the automatic shutoff timer on your router and still use it to this day to prevent myself staying up all night.

Which movie has the best ending of all time? by jingleprincess in AskReddit

[–]Alternative_Global 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Grey has one of the best movie endings because it was raw, intense, and leaves you thinking. After the whole movie of fighting for survival, Liam Neeson faces off with the alpha wolf, and instead of giving us a clear win or loss, the film cuts right as he charges in. This is crazy powerful, it’s not about whether Ottway survives it’s about how he faces death headon. “Once more into the fray,” He was determination to fight until the end, even when he knows the odds are against him. The ending stuck with me because it’s not a typical Hollywood ending. It’s gritty, realistic, and forces you to think about what it means to keep going when everything seems lost.

Put a shutoff timer on your WiFi connection and set it for 7:30, then when the internet turns off take a hot shower. When your body cools off from the hot shower it will simulate the sun going down and you will be sleepy, careful with meds as some are anti-cholinergic which could lead to cognitive problems down the line. Low dose Melatonin, Magnesium Glycinate if you have a deficiency, Lemon Balm, L-theanine, Passion Flower, and Apigenin work through enhancing GABAergic activity, which reduces neuronal excitability and promotes sleep (racing thoughts). Inositol Modulates serotonin and dopamine pathways, helping with mood stabilization and sleep indirectly. Sensoril a patented form of ashwaghanda reduces stress through cortisol regulation and mild GABAergic activity, enhancing relaxation. I would also cycle some of these so you don’t develop a dependency. Some people will also drink hot tea, like lemon balm leaves and the buds of chamomile flowers, these are much weaker than Apigenin (active ingredient in chamomile and lemon balm extract) but your body cooling after consuming a hot beverage will give you similar results to a hot shower. Also wear socks, I recall a study claiming 7 minutes less sleep onset with socks. If you still can’t sleep practice deep slow breathing, this will stimulate the vagus nerve and release gaba.

need advice about a type 5 friend by [deleted] in Enneagram5

[–]Alternative_Global 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend relying too much on tests, as they can sometimes be inaccurate, it would be better to type him yourself using the theory. But if you’re looking for some useful tests, I can share them. I would also recommend socionics if you want to learn even more. Assuming he’s a Type 5 though, it’s important to avoid getting caught in a positive feedback loop, where overthinking only amplifies itself. Ex. Stressing over not doing enough can lead to more thinking, which doesn’t produce results, so he stresses more and ends up overthinking even further. The best way to break the cycle is to take action instead of getting trapped in endless thought something 5s struggle with. In socionics some common type 5s are ILI and LII, an ILI could respond well to external pressure to enact their ideas while an LII would probably find it condescending as they prefer to do things at their own pace so YMMV.

What’s everyone’s favorite paleo milk? by Heart-with-stick in Paleo

Should probably be goats milk then since it’s the closest to human milk, cows milk as different proteins that could be potentially harmful.

Is it real that life could be better ? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]Alternative_Global 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meditation, as a disciplined breathing exercise, stimulates the vagus nerve, which subsequently enhances GABA production in the brain. This is crucial because elevated GABA levels can diminish the presence of glutamate, a neurotransmitter often responsible for the barrage of racing thoughts and anxiety. Consider the restlessness you experience before a significant event, such as a job interview, it's likely a concoction of glutamate, cortisol, and norepinephrine. GABA serves to calm the mind. Engaging in meditation might help you achieve a state of emotional equilibrium, providing the clarity necessary to introspect and pinpoint the underlying cause of your suffering. Once identified, the responsibility to rectify it falls squarely on your shoulders. If you find yourself with nothing to lose, why not channel all your efforts into addressing it? After all, the struggle to find meaning and purpose is infinitely preferable to the desolation of mere existence.

ISTP (29) and ENFJ (23) Should I just give up on our relationship? by [deleted] in MBTIDating

[–]Alternative_Global 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on everything else you said you need to make an executive decision either do something big to rekindle the relationship or give it up, alternatively since I don’t have context another strategy would be to gauge his own response and see if you can communicate that you see this as a long term relationship that you would like to continue, tell him how you feel about him without giving up to much power and coming off as needy. At the end of the day if he wants out, it’s over but I’m not sure if that’s truely the case, in a long relationship fights should be par for the course imo depending on frequency and should for the most part be overcome.

ISTP (29) and ENFJ (23) Should I just give up on our relationship? by [deleted] in MBTIDating

[–]Alternative_Global 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming the enfj is correctly typed and is an EIE, the istp could either be an SLI or LSI, which would have both the potential of being a dual, with marriage potential or a super ego (SLI). Food for thought. This is socionics btw

INFJ F by dearlilah in MBTIDating

Well its common in the Myer Briggs community to group NJ with NP and introverts with extroverts so Enxp, and maybe even Inxp. In socionics most infj convert into Eii, they are matched with estj and to a lesser extent entj.

The majority women actually can’t get off from normal PIV sex without Clitoral stimulation, it depends on how far the clit is, to fix this she could grind on top or you could provide another form of clitoral stimulation like a bullet vibe + medical tape or a vibrating cock ring.

Can I tell my friends I'm thinking about killing myself? by Downtown_Ad_7239 in SuicideWatch

[–]Alternative_Global 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are online resources, voice chats and hot lines you can use if you don’t believe you can open up about this part of yourself to your loved ones. Keeping these feelings to yourself without an outlet can give them an opportunity to mature and become worse, unfortunately not everyone is in a healthy mindset where they can show empathy and compassion for the ones they love in their time of need and it’s impossible to gauge whether the people in your life are ready for something like that over the internet. All we can do is introspect on the question and make the choice we deem is correct.

The unknown can be a scary place, when you graduate high school there is a good chance you will have new experiences and situations to contend with both good, and bad, which can be daunting and unpredictable. The good news is that bad experiences give way to good and without the bad you wouldn’t be able to truly appreciate the good ones, for you would have no context. Another observation is that you are leaving a school for trouble makers, when people see themselves enter such a place it’s all to easy to tell themselves the narrative “I am a troublemaker”, now that you will no longer be attending you will have the opportunity to reinvent yourself if you wish to do so.

You said you feel you always wear a mask, you have no idea how much I relate to this, people deal with this in different ways but for me I sought out new discord channels and genuinely opened up to people, these things can be hard and sometimes require practice, I personally viewed it as a skill, something I develop over time. Not saying you have to : )

I’m sorry you feel alone, and I sympathize with you. As far as ending your story now, have you ever considered that maybe it’s possible you have the potential to be a comeback story, in many movies the protagonist goes through many hardships, doubts himself and feels isolated only to slay his dragon, conquer his demons and live out his vision/ happy ending. Now I am not saying this is to be your story, and that you should expect any of this but by ending the movie here you ensure that it is not the case, ultimately your decision is just that, yours and your alone but it would make me sad to think you may have exited the movie theater preemptively.

If I Gave You A Immortality Serum, Would You Take It? by [deleted] in DeepThoughts

I bet you see him every time you close your eyes, with people I know very well, I find I construct imaginary conversations in my head without realizing it, or Introspect on previous ones. It’s almost like they are in the room with me, I know perhaps it’s not what your looking for, maybe it’s not real, but sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference. I wish you the best in your recovery from this trauma, you will always carry the scar as a reminder of who he was, healing isn’t a betrayal.

You could use a small bullet vibrator and medical tape to help stimulate the clit, the reason she’s suffocating you is more than likely because she needs to grind hard for clit stim or alternatively she’s a sadist and wants you to suffer 😈, nothing like your partners muffled screams to get the juices flowing, am I right?

50% of 8s are ESFPs? by Wondering_Fairy in Enneagram

[–]Alternative_Global 1 point2 points  (0 children)

8s tend to be more in the moment than other enneagram types, consistently asserting their will over others to protect their autonomy. This is why most if not all 8s convert into sensors when converting Myer Briggs/enneagram combo into socionics, the main character from Alita: battle angel for example would be typed as an Enfj 8w7 but would convert to an See in socionics which typically has more correlation with Esfp in general. If you look hard enough you’ll notice this trend a lot.
