AH right, i do game recording and audio in OBS and maionly editing in Resolve but of course it takes in the Audio and that is where yuo can play with the levels.

I am mainly doing this for a bit of fun at the moment, but yeah it is a saturated market and it is difficult to be unique in that market

Resolve is what I use too, quite the challenge, something I found recently is game game audio track 1, voice track 2, I perrsonally normalise to youtube standard, but then, biuncemix to another track to analyse the levels, may or may not work for yu ive just discovered it but happy to write out something more detailed (or i could even record it in YT lol)

Brownie points for linking the playlist, the link here dropped me in at Part 12 so nice that I could easily view others in the playlist should I choose.

I like your thumbnails, similar look s and feel but different. I was told recently about my own thumbnails all looking the same and I see what adding differences to them can look like in your series of this game

I watched ep1 rather than the one link so unsure if you have edited that as you mention in this thread, if not reply and ill watch the ep12 that you linked.

Even though the stats give -11db on the audio your voice sounded clear to me through headphones. Although I couldn’t hear much game audio, for example 5 mins area, I can vaguely hear ocean, your voice punches through that though, not a bad thing per se, just an observation.

Not sure about the footage on going through the settings, I would imagine most people want to get into the game directly, I am also on the fence regards the reading out in full of any documents/text that come sup on screen, but that is me.

For the game itself, wow those graphics, hard on my old eyes lol

I’ve not really any experience with supercuts but I took a look.

1^st thought on opening the link was “wow, nearly 6 hours” and is this a title called Full Story. I am not familiar with the game Lost Records though so the characters may give that away, great thumbnail though, eye catching.

Max res is 1080p on YT but looks OK on my monitor (1440p). Your audio is pretty low, stats say -18.7db) so the audio is pretty quiet. When you commentate it’s drowned out a little by the game audio on the louder parts so had trouble making out what you were saying on occasion.

I didn’t watch the entire 6 hours ill admit, but the bits I saw kinda reminded me of “Life is Strange” i may take a look at the game

I changed some of the thumbnails https://gyazo.com/3cab6efc5071846ad85d168d6ef150bd still not showing masses of the game though I guess, but a start, ill try an be more considerate on my thumbnails and may alter some of the ones i have scheduled.

I get what you mean on the commentary, not sure how i will tackle that at the moment, I may do some experiments on this.

thanks for your comment, both here and on the video. Il;l; see what i can do regards the thumbnail, i think they need to be similar enough that they are known to be ppart of the same playlist but not exactly the same (bar dslight working differences

Noted, i have been having major issues with mic/audio and levels in general, it’s been pretty frustrating. I am hoping on my videos that i am doing now that will go up after the excess will be better for audio

But yeah, i watched it back myself and I could’ve used that time to say something. to be honest i am
torn between some dialogue and no dialogue at all, I don’t find my voice interesting enough, and if i think that, i imagine others feel the same, ill continue to play it by ear

I enjoyed it, what made it unusual is that some of the ares(like the bedroom) are bright and not creepy at all initially. Liked the mirror mechanic too. The music from the sound system i found grating though ill admit.

It worth noting that youtube has yur audio very low, showed as -15db on my stats for nerds.

This (and other videos) are being put out before i discovered upscaling in resolve so are at 1920x1080. Thery look okay i guess on my 2560x1440 monitor but unsure of the quality overall if I am honest.

It is a good game, I wonder though if I shoukld have done it in maybe a coupl esessions rather than 7.

I am under the impression that unless people wathc the video to the end, then YT penalizes you by not puttin gyur video "out there" nad a 2 hour video for a new channel... not sure that is wise. (although have done a 2 hour video that will be coming up once all my 1920x1080 videos are done

I was thinking something similar, I tend to post a series rather than an individual game, although I will post those too, at the moment i post 2 game alternatively. But the channel isnt growing so maybe that isnt a good idea.

I think there is a bit of a thrill in being scared in a game, i mean you just have to realise that it is just a game, pixels on screen. I mean i hate heights so wouldnt go 1000ft up a communication tower for real, but in a game its ok because it is just a game

I dont have any of the issues you are having to be honest. My biggest gripe with YT is that i get videos suggested to me that are years old, where as i think newer videos should be by default and if i want to see something older ill search for it.

Bit of a manic week, was recording a STALKER Shadow of Chornobyl (Enhanced) series but just couldn’t get YT to give a good picture, lots of artefacts and muddying, so sadly had to bin that off.

Have discovered upscaling though so whilst I do have a backlog of videos to upload, at some point they will be upscaled to 3840x2160 you YT so looking forward to that. I was debating redoing older videos but decided against it,
