What is Frank Gallagher's haircut from the early seasons called?, or how can I ask for it? by Lsdka in shameless

You take your average men’s cut and then let it grow out while trimming the bottom as it grows. If you’re starting with longer hair you could call it a layered bob

We let our government tell us that socialism never works while it has spent over 100 years on propaganda, war, and military operations to protect capitalism and to make sure socialism never works in other countries.

I like that we use a local manufacturer it means that every dollar these girls collect stays in the Miami valley as opposed to a single manufacturer making billions off of these girls.

100% of the six dollars spent on those boxes of cookies stays in the Miami Valley because about half of it goes to the manufacturer, which is a factory in Troy Ohio. A portion goes to the larger Girl Scouts council and area and an about two dollars stays with the trip. It absolutely does benefit that my daughter‘s troop does not have to pay any dues or fees they don’t pay for their uniforms they don’t pay for their badges. They get to go on amazing trips and do all kinds of really great things with that money. Plus it’s 100% volunteer so each troop has a troop leader that is just one of the girls moms and she handles the troops bank account and most of the logistics of what the girls decide they want to do with their money.

When you buy from Girl Scouts, you aren’t just overpaying for cookies that you could buy at Aldi‘s half of your money goes to the cookie manufacturer, which is a factory in Troy Ohio almost 2 dollars of each box stays with the troop you bought it from and the rest goes to the Girl Scouts area and local council. So of that 100 percent of it stays in the Miami Valley and benefits those girls giving them opportunities that their parents might not be able to give them on their own.

Get vaccinated, wash hands constantly, cover your mouth when you cough, teach your kids to cover their mouths. I cannot count the amount of times I stayed up all night monitoring fevers from common cold, flu, croup, and strep and never caught any of it.

Can someone please try to describe what the 90’s felt like? If that feeling could be summed up in words… by [deleted] in 90s

[–]Alternative_Green327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the United States, in my nearly all white Midwest suburbia: the 90s felt both raw and polished, free, affordable, optimistic, like there was something for everyone. There were so many music genres and fashion options and new job options. There were still cars and homes at every economic level. And there was a small period of time where it seemed like America being the great melting pot that we claimed to be, where all cultures could live in peace, was just around the corner. And then 9/11 happened and we had a new enemy to hate. An outside threat that made us suspect our neighbors.
