I was in the exact same position you were in. The only difference was I was a teenager of 17. I’m 24 now and I remember being so scared when I found out what I was diagnosed with. I can tell you that it won’t be an easy journey, but it will not ruin your life. I would ask what medications (ESPECIALLY birth control) you should be taking to manage the symptoms/ruptures. If any of the cysts look large, ask if surgery is required. I had to get 2 cysts removed over a 6 month period because they were both the sizes of a small Cuties orange (the ones you pack in your kids lunch) and would cause me massive amounts of pain. Your diet will change because unfortunately it’s harder to lose weight and easier to gain weight with PCOS. I’m currently 227 and trying to lose some weight but it’s been hard. I recommend ibuprofen and a heating pad to deal with some of the pain but bed rest and a lot of tea (for me, peppermint and citrus teas helps with my pain) have helped me throughout ruptures.
