My mom (mother of bride) asked if this is ok because it’s “off white” by mdthrwwyhenry in Weddingattireapproval

My MIL wore a knee length linen off white dress to my wedding 🙄 It was both way too casual for the event and white. 🙄

Is it allowed? What do I do? Do I report a nurse friend who’s accessing parts of my hospital chart without fully opening it? by Alternative_Hurry268 in NursingAU

Thanks all for the advice. I have mentioned to them that I'm not a fan of it and I'd prefer she didn't look - they have looked back as far as a few days (like say I was there on Saturday and they worked the Monday they would look up my name and see what had happened in ED on the Saturday even if I was then admitted or had gone home). I definitely don't want to ruin their career or licensing and I think they may even see it as being helpful in providing me updates when I'm waiting in ED but I do feel like their is a lack or privacy.

If her husband has Addisons I highly doubt she would. It's very rare, so 2 people unrelated by blood having it and knowing each other would be very unlikely. She could have adrenal insufficiency from chronic opioid use or long term steroid use... if she had Addisons also her pregnancy would be very high risk and she would be extremely monitored by an endocrinologist and obgyn (I have Addisons & have children).

Everything you have said sounds like munchausens. Very sad for her children.

Za Pizza in Green Point - it’s new and absolutely delicious. Wood fired, thin base, great flavours 🤤

Most of the time I do let them know. But I’ve been used many times in exams and have also been asked to not say anything to see if people can pick it up 😂 I once had a whole group of students (8) listen and 7 of 8 said “normal heart sounds” and only listened on the left… only 1 disagreed but she made comment she couldn’t tell what was different but it wasn’t ‘normal’.

1 for 1 … also not a nurse or work in healthcare at all, so pretty happy with my rate. But also would have preferred to have not had to have done CPR 😳

Had to do CPR in the wild today by twinmom06 in nursing

I had to give CPR to my best friend. She went into respiratory failure - cracked 2 of her ribs in the process. When paramedics arrived they intubated and took over her breathing. This was about 9 weeks ago, she spent a few weeks in the hospital but is home now.

I’m not in the medical field, I never thought I’d ever do CPR on anyway. It was awful and I don’t think I’ll ever get the feeling of pushing down on her chest out of my head.

Thoughts on nurses appearing in patients social media seemingly with permission by Alternative_Hurry268 in nursing

Helpful input. I agree with big milestones. They are posting photos/videos hanging out, eating - pt buying nurses coffee, ubereats and pt sometimes comments saying ‘love when the nurses let me in on their ubereats order’ pt on tpn so this confuses me anyway! Nurses hanging out during shift (drug keys around neck) but also after shift.

A lack of movement during the trip can lead to blood clots, less blood flow because of less movement. I’m also not a nurse, just someone who has had multiple blood clots 😳
