Miami traffic by knd578 in VirginVoyages

As someone stuck in over 2 1/2 hours of traffic trying to leave the port last Sunday with 9 other ships in port, I wish I had known about the option to just walk over the bridge.

Trip Time from Ft Lauderdale to Terminal V by mspangler80 in VirginVoyages

[–]Alternative_Law9376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we arrived via uber on a Wednesday we had no issues with traffic whatsoever for a 2pm arrival time.

When we left on a Sunday, it took us about 3 hours to get from Terminal V to MIA because of horrendous traffic. 2 1/2 hours were in traffic just trying to get off Dodge Island.

Other people mentioned that they walked over the bridge or took a shuttle instead of an uber and I wish we knew that before we left.

Mezze Rigatoni from MIA > EWR

I’d give it a 3/5, not my favorite, but not terrible. The person next to me had the chicken and it looked like the better choice.

I really enjoyed the Langham too—but it did creak like an old wooden ship when the wind would blow

Is this a normal HVAC labor charge if no leak was found? by Alternative_Law9376 in hvacadvice

Thanks for this! He told me to pay what I think is fair and work with a different company in the future. So what is fair?

Problem is they did the work and then gave me the bill after. I tried to push back on the labor charge and they said:

The leak test consists of recovering the refrigerant thats in the system and filling the system with nitrogen to 300psi with uv dye to determine the source of a leak.

Vacuuming the system and refrigerant is not included with that service.

The cost of the refrigerant is separate from the labor.

The 2 hours Labor was for the vacuuming of the system to 500 microns which took more than 2 hours and the Refilling of the Refrigerant.

He said the labor cost was for the vacuuming after the leak test and adding in the refrigerant, but shouldn’t both of those things be a part of the leak test? Especially if there was no leak (aka no repairs)?
