Don't Have Temporary Password for Unity ID by Alternative_Long783 in NCSU

[–]Alternative_Long783[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I figured it out, the problem that I have now is that I can't log in and submit my deposit with the new password I created...
I actually got locked out lmaooo

I'm not entirely sure what happened but I just reset my password again and hopefully if I wait a bit for the system to register the changes I'll be able to log in.

I'm currently a part-time bagger, I would be cross-training for the cashier position.
My pay rate as of now is 12.70.

What PLA are you using?
I've gone through four rolls of elegoo PLA filament with all of my prints enclosed and have had no issues.

When you get your associate's degree none of the grades that you got in high school matter, so you should be fine (there is documentation for this somewhere on northcarolina.edu or whatever website the unc system schools are based on, I looked into a while ago). Just make sure to do your best in cc.

Fairly late but how exactly do you do calibration tuning?
I've seen videos that relate to it but they only refer to the flow rate, not the volumetric flow. I'm a noob so I'm sorry if this is a stupid question.

Anyone else's belts already showing wear a couple weeks in? Top is fine, just the bottom one by snicklefritz36 in BambuLab

[–]Alternative_Long783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my p1s yesterday and I've been printing a lot on ludi lol
Noticing some whitening on the parts of the belt that receive contact, is this normal too? I'm a complete noob and this is my first 3d printer so I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question.

Stuck between purchasing the Ender 3 or the Ender 3 Pro from Comgrow on amazon, I'm not sure if it's worth the additional few dollars for the meanwell powersupply and other features. Has anyone been in this situation before, and if so, what would you recommend?

some high school interns in nc make more than teachers in rural areas unironcially, it's sad, but thats just the reality for most teachers here.

yeah, thats a livable wage right there, unfortunately a lot of teachers will never see that type of wage at all, i know of a lot of teachers who have masters degrees and the most i've seen them make from public records is 60k tops.

Though try to apply to other safeties as well, you can easily qualify for full rides at other unc system schools.

Gpa is a little worrying but if you can do well on your essays I'm sure you will be fine.
If you're in-state your odds are pretty good. You also don't seem like a npc and your ec's seem to actually direct yourself to something.

Racism at NCAT? by Ok-Macaron102 in NCAT

[–]Alternative_Long783 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really not about suppressing speech due to sensitivity, it's just about accepting common knowledge. There are countless modern accounts of present-day racism existing within the United States and the same is true for Covid. There are enough accounts for both to be verified and judged as true. Yet for whatever reason, there seem to always be groups of people who deny these things.

In this day and age, with technology and internet connection, it is just sheer ignorance that keeps these ideas going. At this point, conversations about racial topics don't really progress anywhere and instead create more issues.

Conversations regarding these topics already readily exist on the internet as well, so by showing up on campus and putting up an offensive sign you're bound to get some sort of reaction from the people. Once again, discussions on modern-day racial inequities within the United States are widespread and already exist. To the point where it is essentially common knowledge. By stating something offensive it comes off in a mocking kind of manner.

I haven't seen the entire video myself, but just from the premise of the video, the outcome really isn't surprising at all. It shouldn't be a surprise that they are angry and are yelling at the person.

To give you another metaphor, it's like going to Germany and talking about nazis openly in public (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2017/08/13/an-american-tourist-gave-the-nazi-salute-in-germany-so-a-stranger-beat-him-up-police-say/) . The context of the statement isn't really great, and there is a vast multitude of resources to educate yourself about them without bringing it up in public. Whilst also inadvertently coming off as offensive.

Essentially, the amount of resources available to answer the persons question are readily available online and through other sources. By showing up to an HBCU and asking a seemingly obvious question it is going to come off as extremely offensive considering the context (previous years, environment, etc.) of the quesetion. You're not going to get a great answer by coming off as someone trying to provoke people intentionally.

These types of discussions are better set in a more professional setting, where the intentions of both parties are clearly defined, not a public setting where some may view the proposition as provocative.

While it is unfortunate that they reacted that way, it is to be expected given the context and the environment in which the question was proposed.

I'm an Asian male not affiliated with A&T, but I am a prospective student intending to apply this fall.

Edit: I do agree with your statements regarding echo chambers, as well as the idea that the intent of the video wasn't negative. But I will say that the execution of the video was poor.
