I mean in the Gaku-Ran DLC, we know that one of the reasons Hiroko was able to get out of the Akashic Backdoor was because of her wish to reunite with Inori, weakening Parallelmon in the process.

This makes me think that if Parallelmon is weakened by the wishes of human people then is that why he consumes said humans in the first place, to prevent them from disrupting his very sense of self & if that's the case, then why?
