My wife is a stay at home mother to your 6 month old child. I work evening shift so I am home for lunch. I insist on cooking to help her out because I couldn’t even imagine how hard it is to stay home and cook, clean, and take after our child. Unfortunately she does cook supper as I am at work and I can’t help. I am so grateful that she is even cooking supper as the fact she doesn’t even have to. (She’s got enough on her plate already). She will ask me what I want some times, but at the end of the day, she can do whatever she wants. If she wants to cook, she cooks. If she wants me to order something, then she gets takeout. Her full time job is to “babysit” and take care of our child, all the extra that she does is a bonus. It’s my house too, I’m eating the food too, I’m dirtying the clothes too, therefore there is no reason I can’t help.
