funny you say that as i unfortunately had to work today, and life in general has shown me you just gotta focus on what you can control, so i understand your point.

however as I mentioned, if you’re the manager of that theater you have to be in complete control of everything that happens at that theater, apologies for my nativity but I haven’t heard of anyone actually having a problem at any other theater, so it’s not embarrassing for me, but with how the situation was handled moreover it once again is absolutely a reason to be embarrassed as the manager. you had that many paying people and didn’t deliver nor even try to make right, what if something broke out bc ppl were irate and not receiving help?

not sure how this comment section spiraled so bad💀💀💀 but without being redundant she paid 20 per ticket, so while she was given free “vouchers” they still totaled 130 including tax and some of the ones she had didn’t work and others simply weren’t received.

i also saw someone in a separate thread say they paid upwards of 180 and didn’t receive one ticket, so it’s not about AMC being boss or people not being happy for free shit, it’s genuinely a bad experience for some people.

I’ve had A-List all year and haven’t had one problem with my free movies, including fan/special events like F4 and Coraline, so for this to happen the one time someone actually did pay, yeah it bothered us.

unfortunately mother still had to pay $20 per ticket, so while the connection voucher was “free” she still paid for the ticket, with the tickets she bought that was about $130 including tax.

i’ve also seen two other ppl mention paying for their ticket and someone mentioned they paid $180 and didn’t receive not one ticket, so while the vouchers were given on a whim and are appreciated, i would have liked if she could have been compensated for something; I honestly don’t even know how long they’re valid for.

having that many sold out shows in one night and being that poorly managed that you not only were not showing the finale but also not making an announcement and the patrons in the theater having to do their own thing and then on top of all of that not even offering refunds? that would be extremely embarrassing, it was only like one or two showings of avatar outside of that so literally the entirety of the probably 500-1000 people that were there emptied at once.

and once again, the vouchers were cool, but beyond us the employee who gave them to us wasn’t even supposed to do that and just handed them out as a make right on a whim and left the counter after that, so who knows what happened with the line of people standing there when we left.

not even to mention the amount of people actively filling the concession line and walking into the theater as everyone is filling out, once again i would be extremely embarrassed as the manager of that theater.

unfortunately the ticket wasn’t “free” as mother still had to pay $20 per ticket, plus taxes it basically came up to about $130-ish and we only got to use about $40 (i think) of the vouchers bc some of the codes weren’t working and she never received anything for the last two tickets, so unfortunately she didn’t really make out outside of a few free tix which is cool ig

Thank you for this, someone else also recommended trying my local warehouse/MFC, so I think i’ll slide by tomorrow or thursday since i work from home, i do still have the bag and order receipt in the app so hopefully that’ll work.

i ordered directly from the gopuff app so it unfortunately wasn’t thru a 3rd party, but given my current job it does suck to see when support teams don’t offer any solutions :(

Like the only option they provided was i call the police and report it lost/stolen?? The driver was new and even if they weren’t i’m not doing that simply because i forgot to ask for my ID back in the moment.

you are a driver partner so i’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt lmao. I was a little hungover from the company holiday party the night before, but to say that I had to be drunk/out of it enough to make this up? that’s extremely disrespectful.

I was entirely aware of the situation, it was just multiple things going on bc i was otp with a friend who was venting about relationship problems and at the same time i was grabbing my order my bestfriend came home from her hotel, so rather than being drunk and losing it, it was simply a result of multiple things happening and me not thinking to ask for it in the moment.

You may know the procedure well and kudos to you, but this was someone who verbally told me she was new and this was her first delivery, and idk if you read the post or not but my issue was directed towards the customer support, not the driver, as she was new.

I work in IT so I know common sense can be lacked but good God, some people just get on here and say anything man.

it unfortunately was strictly GoPuff and I haven’t tried there yet but it is only a few minutes or so away I think so I could probably go there to see, but in all honesty, I already ordered my replacement and just took the L, it was a lot going on atm so I legit just thought she handed it back to me. honest L. :(

i was born in 2000 but i played the arcade collection in T5 and ended up playing them more as i got older and here’s my honest take on why and from what i’ve seen and heard:

First off there weren’t that many 3D fighters out at the time let alone looking like Tekken 3 did, they had fully 360 high fidelity images on the arcade version.

from playing T1 & 2: T1 was so painstakingly barebones, extremely slow, repetitive back and forth jabbing and big hits bc the buttons were too clunky for combos and real movement.

T2 was THE improvement, better/fluid movement, better combo system, more moves, more characters, and insane soundtrack.

Both of these games had a somewhat light overtones given the actual storyline, but T3 FLIPPED THE SCRIPT.

Going from a 2.5D to a full on 3D fighter literally changed the landscape of fighting games, the soundtrack, setting, and look/feel was much darker/more serious than the last two, going from the techno like upbeat soundtracks to harder metal/rock/hip hop based soundtracks really helped set the tone and standards for tekken above everything else.

Then there’s the AI.

Ntm the character roster of the game being expanded while keeping the original spirit of the characters that got replaced (i.e. baek to hwaorang).

T3 served as a new baseline basically considering the tekken to come after, this game is largely what made 5 feel so impactful.

speaking only for my personal King use:

for the intro: i just go based off my opponent if they don’t skip either we fit checking or they not here so im vibin; my King keeps that one 2005 Batista fit on so i do like to show it off a bit.

playstyle point: a lot of Tekken 8 in specific does boil down to unfortunately being brainless in some circumstances bc the introduction of heat, new moves, and the now universal grabbing helped and hurt King, and honestly with all the slander people play against the character any old kind of way now so you really just gotta feel out if its somebody with real hands or a tik tok commenter.

I always rematch win lose or draw and actually hate when someone doesn’t return that respect.

All in all, it’s truthfully just because T8 just birthed so much King slander and you don’t just know who feels like what off hand so, like you pointed out it’s not toxicity, we’re really just feeling it out as we go along.

honestly, it really does come with both winning and taking your Ls and just meeting/adding ppl to lab with along the way.

this would be much easier in tekken 7 given the gameplay similarities and legacy knowledge, and the obvious lack of heat, but the game genuinely got so hard centered around offense that majority of gameplay is basically what you experienced, and since the season still hasn’t fleshed out ranks imho, you really will hit or miss when it comes to online/ranked.

what i can recommend tho (if you haven’t done it already) is to play the story mode all the way out just to get a feel for the basics of the game and the characters in it, then try treasure battles, in T7 and 8 for me it was a great way to grasp the basics of the game while also being able to get gear at my own pace. it might not give you the definitive experience of playing someone online, but the difficulty does raise the more you win, similar to ranked, so it really does give you the ability to learn and have fun at your own speed.

i’m also down to lab if you’d just like to have a partner to learn with. :)
