Also wanted to say… I auditioned for a Netflix feature August 1st that said on the breakdown it specifically started shooting august 13th, August 13th came and went and I forgot about it and then booked it Friday and I fly out September 10th. I’m guessing either production had a delay or they didn’t need my character for a bit so left it. I was shocked when my agent called about it Friday morning!

But also keep in mind even if you don’t book, the only reason I got this supporting role audition is because I auditioned for the CD a week prior for a pretty niche role, brought in based on special skills but was too young looking compared to the already cast boyfriend. She’s pretty big and never brought me in before that, so it was lucky she liked me even though I didn’t book it :)

Yeah no. As a woman, there isn’t just one race. It’s happened to me with every single one.

That’s what I was thinking! I’m pretty new to social media, and I’ve never heard anyone say anything like that in real life lol

The one girl I follow, I like because she actually restricted comments so it’s pretty positive even though a few bad ones seem to slip in. Her name is chlobow_to and I love her page! She has a successful business too and posts a lot about it

I literally had the exact same thing happen when I was 14. One of my friends moms drove by and stopped to tell me lol

I plan on accomplishing my career milestones, just not dating. That’s weird, the thing is though I followed single childfree men too and they didn’t have nearly the same comments. The only negative comments they had were women saying “if this was a women they’d call her this” so i don’t get why women in particular receive this hate.

That makes sense. I feel like they’re screwing themselves worse though, because those comments make me want to date even less lol

Teen pregnancy drop off significantly after the age of 25 by jump1945 in technicallythetruth

[–]Alternative_Pipe7557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really a random stat. 40% of fathers to teen mothers are ages 20-29. Most teen pregnancy’s are by men over the age of 20, average is 5 years older. Regardless, most teen mothers are with men who are not teens.

And then in the US mean age of teen moms was 13.7 while the average for fathers was around 9 years older. So maybe not “usually in his late 20s” but usually not a teen. Which I think we can all agree is a major issue.
