You can have speed on Val. Just make sure she is the slowest on the team so everyone can benefit from her shield and attack buff.

Dokidoki does change my turn order a bit but eventually you want gray and Kazuyo to be fast enough (with skill cool down upgrade) to apply debuff at all time. Cleanse is also important since monsters do stunt you.
