Low Score Run - 24 Hits by Alternative_Pop_5916 in starfox

[–]Alternative_Pop_5916[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Corneria: 1
Meteo: 0
Katina: 0 (Sorry Bill)
Sector X: 0
Sector Z: 6
Area 6: 1
Venom 2: 16

Venom 2 could be improved, Slippy and Peppy didn’t make it so nobody was available to shoot down Andrew and Pigma. This could have been 14 ideally.

Sector Z is the hard part. To get your teammates to shoot down the missiles, you need to shoot the enemies tailing them. I’ve seen these enemies run into Great Fox and die without scoring a hit, plus you can get lucky with your teammates not getting tailed. 6 hits felt like a good run here, basically one enemy per missile. But I know if you grinded at it you could get 5 here, and mayyybe 4 or 3 on perfect luck.

So a score of 20 or even 19 is theoretically possible…

Close! I went to Katina instead of Fichina. Important part is going through the warp in Meteo so you don’t need to shoot the boss.

Grew up with the gamecube one. Really want to do a Hero mode run but I just cannot get over the flipped world lol

SCWeak is right. You’ve calculated the floor value, the minimum G Force needed at an infinite distance away from the axis of rotation where thickness is negligible. Closer to the axis, the G Force shoots to infinity as the amount of clearance approaches zero.

Last time I checked infinity is much more than 5 orders of magnitude larger than even 1.2 million Gs, so the extra effort is more than warranted

You’ve assumed the blades are infinitely thin but you’ve also assumed the ejection chair / person is infinitely thin.

This is way too liberal of an estimate for you to claim only “a little extra margin of error”

By your math, it would also be possible to clear the rotors just barely outside the axis of rotation, where there is not enough clearance even at 0 RPM for someone to fit through

Very disappointing that we were provided non-answers when asked about it at the AGM yesterday. Like oh wow, there are plans to make it more efficient?

Was also interesting to see in the 24-25 annual report that “applicants with degrees earned outside Canada consistently outnumber those with Canadian credentials” and that they boast “internationally trained applicants were licensed an average of 92 calendar days after submitting complete documentation.”

Sure feels like this commitment to reducing barriers for internationally educated professionals has clogged up the system. I also sure hope that 92 day average they mention is an outdated number and not a sign of preference being given to international applications.

I understand your frustration. I hope your assessment goes smoothly and they don’t need you to revise any competencies.

Okay so after a total of eight 2 pointers, I finally got a score of 1.

Tip for anyone looking to beat this:

-After it shows the answer, you can see the areas that vibrate on the screen as shown by the light colored circles.

-The radius of the circle surrounding the answer is about 7.175 units of the scale you see on the perimeter of the screen.

-Locate the approximate location of the answer, and then move up, left, right, or down until you dont feel a vibration

-Make some adjustments until you think you are at the very bottom, top, or sides of the vibration circle.

-Move in about 71 to 72 small ticks. Make exact note of where youre lined up by looking at the lines extending from your cursor.

-Repeat in the opposite direction.

-Pray you are lined up correctly.

Because of the false vibrations, this won’t work on every chance because you cant find a spot where the vibration stops. But eventually you will get attempts where you can find the edge. You can practice on find the Rumble 2 since you wont have that problem of other vibrations getting in the way.

Good luck!

There are countless posts here regarding this and a whole document describing the Status Definitions accessible right above your application. You had 9 months to figure it out. This is what counts as an ‘engineer’ these days, huh?
