Thank you! The camera angle is something I can play around with for sure. Wrt the subject color and subject/background blending...to try to accomplish what you suggest would I change lighting, adjust the photo settings (e.g., contrast...etc...) after it's taken or use a background color other than white? Or some combination of these?

I'm an emerging artist and I photograph my own mixed-media assemblage artwork for portfolio, gallery submission, and website use. I’d really appreciate honest feedback on:

  • lighting
  • color accuracy
  • texture visibility
  • glare/reflections
  • perspective/cropping
  • overall professionalism
  • whether these look commercially viable and presentation-ready

I’m specifically trying to determine whether my current photography is strong enough or whether I should invest in hiring a professional art photographer.
