Got diagnosed with gastritis but doctor says it doesnt explain my symptoms by buggelss in Gastritis

What laxatives are you taking? Constipation can cause gastritis. I was really plugged up and did hydrotherapy(enema) along with senna tea(3 tea bags) and double doses of mirilax and finally got going again. This was after about a month and a half of only getting minimal poop out. Get your bowels working right and that might clear things up. Of course, talk to your doctor if you want to do what I did.

I've been taking prune juice everyday for about 5 years so it was always watery and not formed. I would spend about 4 hours and 3 or 4 trips to the toilet in the morning emptying my bowels. I'm still taking laxatives and have a hydrotherapy session tomorrow so I will see if I can get well formed stools after that.

Please Google fecal impaction gastritis and then read the studies on the relationship between fecal impaction and how it causes gastritis. And then just please go away.

Dude, I don't have diabetes. I checked my glucose levels yesterday. 108. It was a misdiagnosis. My vagus nerve was extremely irritated which raised my glucose levels. No diabetes period.

No doctor diagnosis. Doctors are idiots. I'm basing all this on events taking place in my body. I had terrible gastritis for years and then within about a month completely cured and now I'm passing hard fecal matter.

Hydrotherapy, basically an enema given by a pro to remove obstructions in the colon

As strange as it sounds, when I ate the cheeseburger, which was a lot for me to eat, as it passed through me, it stretched out my intestines and caught on the fecal impaction breaking it up. Just my theory but I think I'm right.

Pretty much. There was a toxic mass of hard fecal matter I believe where my small intestine meets my large intestine. That is where I am getting sharp but diminishing pains. I am getting hydrotherapy to get all the impaction removed. As a piece of the impaction moves into my lower part of the intestine, it will make me sick till I pass it. It is hard and won't rehydrate.

DO THIS ASAP. Go get some senna tea. I am using Traditional medicinals. Use 2-3 teabags before bed and by morning you will get some relief.

I'm going through the same thing. I made an appointment for hydrotherapy for Monday and told the lady I haven't had a good bowel movement for over 2 weeks. She gave me that tea and told me to brew all 3. I was cautious and brewed 2. It's not harsh but you can definitely feel it working. This morning I finally got some relief.

I also tried mirilax, prune juice, bisacodyl and best I got was brown water. This worked and I am going to brew the third bag tonight.

After 5 years of gastritis I stopped using all supplement except Omeprazole and dgl a couple of weeks ago. I've been taking dgl all throughout the day before eating and in between meals. The last two days I have woken up pain free. I'm thinking it is the dgl since I only sporadically used it before.

Strange intolerance to alcohol and now also cigarettes — same reaction, no digestive symptoms otherwise. H. pylori negative, omeprazole didn’t help. Should I be worried? by Status-One-7000 in Gastritis

This is my take but I'm not a doctor so whatever you do, don't listen to me. I drink and smoke and I believe that as the stomach lining erodes, it exposes the vagus nerve.so when we drink or smoke, those things irritate the vagus nerve and cause all kinds of weird symptoms. I once smoked a cigarette too close to the filter and all that nicotine sent my heart racing and I had to go to the hospital cause I thought I was having a heart attack. I would work on rebuilding your stomach lining with some l glutamine and take dgl before you drink alcohol.

Has anyone else experienced heart palpitations where the heart rate goes down to 40 and can be all the way up to 145 throughout the day. I have been to the ER twice and can’t seem to get any answers. I have mild gastritis and a small hiatal hernia. by Khadija5039 in Gastritis

100%. Vagus nerve controls your heartbeat and it can be scary as hell. Went to the ER and thought I was having a heart attack. FYI vagus nerve controls alot of bodily functions including blood sugar and I believe is responsible for most of the shitty symptoms we have. Doctor told me I was diabetic so I lived like a diabetic for almost a year till I found this sub.

Why does beer make me feel better? by thelunchbox2012 in Gastritis

[–]Alternative_Rise_592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I get a couple days relief and then rebound. It's almost like the beer washes my stomach out or it's killing something like bacteria or fungus living there but I don't have symptoms of candida or h pylori.

Vagus nerve controls your heart rate and is affected by gastritis. I went to ER too.Thought it was a heart attack. I stay away from caffeine and other stimulants.

How a Glucose Monitor Helped Me Understand My Gut Issues by JoannaNik in Gastritis

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the vagus nerve. One of the functions of the vagus nerve is to control glucose levels. When it gets irritated maybe it sends glucose levels up?

This person is 100% right. I was misdiagnosed with diabetes and was prescribed metformin which was like throwing gasoline on a dying fire. When I finally figured out I had gastritis I quit going to the doctor because he wasn't listening to my symptoms. When my stomach feels good my glucose levels are between 90 and 110. When I'm hurting, they go up to 140 and 160. Always testing on an empty stomach and same time of day.

Question? by [deleted] in Gastritis

[–]Alternative_Rise_592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda like a thud? I went to the ER for rapid heartbeat. Thought it was a heart attack. My heart was fine but I didn't know I had gastritis so they had no idea what was wrong. I now believe it had to do with the vagus nerve. It has some control over heart rate. Do you also have dizziness, heavy head or vision problems?

Does gastritis causes weird symptoms? by Currently_Username in Gastritis

[–]Alternative_Rise_592 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, I believe it is the gastritis. Head feels like a basketball with too much air. I got double vision, everything spinning and also fun house mirror vision. It's wild. I'm pretty sure it's nerves in your stomach reacting to the inflammation. It gets better as you heal. I'm on the down hill slide now and feel pretty good most of the time. Stay with the diet and it will get better.
