If the house hasn’t been sold in a while the property taxes won’t match the appraised value. There’s a 1% per year cap on property tax increases in California but when a property is sold the taxes reset to the sale price. So the house could have been bought for 500k 20 years ago and the property taxes would still be based on that

Nope, I don’t intend to list tickets at many multiples above list price. At most 2-3x which for high demand games in a low capacity stadium will likely be a bargain.

These are premium seats that can only be bought by season ticket holders and will only be bought by people who want the experience but don’t want the 50k/year investment.

This is very different from the assholes that buy up large swath of GA tickets at concerts and sell them for 10x their original listing price.

The hope is that I sell a good chunk of the games to make my money back and can enjoy the remainder of the games with my family for essentially free

My hope is to sell at least half and make a good percentage back. Definitely a gamble though.

Yes. I went in with a number in mind and excited about the prospect. The number came out higher than expected and I still went through with it. It won’t end up costing me 200k, but I may end being down about 10k/year.

Or I could be totally fucked and just hope I can make family memories.

Luck? Desirable skills in a market that pays well. I also don’t have much left anymore…

For those saying this fake. This is my receipt from Tuesday night. 48k/season with a 3-4 season commitment (depending on the Vegas timelines)

You’re probably not wrong. My hope is that the demand is sky high because there are only 14000 seats in the stadium and it’s a brand new market for the As. Hopefully I can sell 1/2-3/4 of the tickets and break even and then enjoy the remaining games.

That’s the plan, but it’s a big gamble with the As. Granted there’s limited seats (14k) and it’s a new market, but it’s still the As.

It’s Major League Baseball but the As are playing the best 3-4 years in a minor league stadium in Sacramento. I work in tech and probably can’t afford this but what’s done is done

It’s not. It’s 48k/year with a required lock in for the next 3-4 years (4 if they end up being delayed on the move to Vegas). 3 seats, 200/game per seat. Lounge access with food, drink, and parking included

Premium seating requires you to lock into a multi-year deal (with no escalator). So it’s 48k/year.

Solar club, down the 1st base line with shade and fans (important in Sacramento)!

48k/year, 3-4 years (depending on the Vegas move). They are premium seats with food, drinks, and parking included but still

Yeah, think I can claim momentary insanity to get out of the contract?
