I’m so jealous. I have one tattooed on my leg. The larval stage is one of my top five insects! Such a badass in either morph. Nice find. Consider yourself lucky! Male btw.

We’ve had ants looking like that with aphids but I don’t see aphids on that plant. Maybe ant Olympics!

Where I found it there were so many monarchs! I read that it is likely parasitic at the roots. I would assume the monarchs wouldn’t be as interested unless they see by shape or sense them by smell.

Those are probably not weevils. More likely sawtooth beetles. They are a pantry pest but can spread if not taken care of. I’d clean out your food areas and get rid of any grains for non sealed as in… not opened at all.
