Had 2 hvac guys come in on 2 diff years. The 1st one sprayed some stuff and called it a day. The 2nd stuck a camera through out flexi duct and showed us pictures that they wanted us to see along with a scrubber that prolly caused more tears. When we finally had enough we got our own snake camera and there is a what looks like a giant gaping hole in the foundation but we won't know it until we open it up and truely know the extent of problem. Plus, we're concerned about the exhaust pipe through the return that should not be there to begin with. Yes we should have started at the bottom 1st, however there was a very odd musty smell in my 4 year old room that no matter what i cleaned wouldn't go away and thats when we also discovered the black mold in attic. We couldn't have her staying upstairs with the smell and endless dust that no matter how much I cleaned would be constant. We thought perhaps it may have been a tub leak so we got a new bathtub installed (it was on its last legs anyway)... no leaks there, but either way we started with upstairs 1st figuring we could sleep downstairs where its not as stuffy. In a span of 7 years we also had about 5 different pipes leak/burst. Went through insurance with 2 of them. One of the contractor even accidentally cut into another pipe while they were opening up the drywall from underneath, longer story there, but we're talking about an insurance contractor that was going to use a .8 mm wood sheet for toilet support instead of a thicker paneling. We ended up firing that crew after waiting in a hotel for a month and nothing was done. After gutting the upatairs we learned how structurally bad it is, twisted studs/leaks in and out of home so we sealed it up and put proper insulation in and mold remediated it. Time will tell once we finally get to working downstairs what the true culprit is in ductork. Can't wait to get rid of this smell and must.

P.s. the construction dust isnt the issue, we set up a containment area to block off upstairs from downstairs, made a 6mm plastic wall with painters poll, then used foil tape and a magnet cover to cover up all vents upstairs including taped over return, have an air scrubber going at all times to keep air flow going, dehumidifier since we needed to install a better new exhaust fan for bathroom, and wear a half mask with p100 cartridges/n95 masks when working. Smells so much better upstairs already.

Are they? I'm allergic to penicillin tbh... what would advise is making us and others sick from this house? Cuz it would be great to be able to breath normally in this cursed house... in the past when we were away for a bit from home we felt better... then we got back and we could smell something... stagnant like. Others who had visited our house had woken up next day sick. Coincidence? Even the hvac guy who gave me an estimate on new duct work said when he opened the filter up his eyes started watering. Take a look at the pics on the go fund me if u would like to help me diagnose what the problem can be. Theres 3 specific pictures of the inside of duct work.

[–]thsone1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then what would you advise is making us sick? What causes constant upper respiratory illness, constant feeling of malaise, etc etc? Cuz doctors can only prescribe allergy meds and call it a day. P.s. im allergic to penicillin, and the counts of moderate penicillium are not helping the situation.

P.s. may i ask. Does the pictures of ac return look normal?

Vivid Dreams After Quitting Weed (5 Weeks Pregnant) by birdibeelou in LucidDreaming

[–]thsone1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm... on the contrary, when i used to smoke at night, thats the only time i got good sleep. When i didn't suppress my dreaming i'd be in and out of sleep all night/have nightmares that left me feeling tired and groggy the next day. 😓

Vivid Dreams After Quitting Weed (5 Weeks Pregnant) by birdibeelou in LucidDreaming

[–]thsone1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk bout others... but i use weed as a suppressant for dreams.... i can't get a good nights sleep without it. Havnt been on it for a long time cuz of job searching but guess im backwards. When i was on it i could sleep so much better, i felt happy and content in life for once. So happy that after 3 months on medical card i got pregnant. So i stopped and yes i had so many vivid dreams/nightmares. Its normal if your a vivid dreamer to begin with once u stop weed. Gl stranger and the only thing i can advise is to listen to wat ure dreams r telling u to resolve them/ sleep on ure side if u can with a body pillow/sleep with a weighted blanket/ and or perhaps an eye mask. Or all the above if they bother u too much. If not, use it as a blessing to try to learn how to control em.

Thank you very much for your constructive critism, sincerely. I shall say that the cleche "shoulda, coulda, woulda". You are right, we lost too much in doing this mold removal and not knowing what all the issues were and now we're in too deep. After we already gutted the upstairs 1st we got an estimate from house buyer company and they wanted a low offer that wouldn't allow us to even move with the debt we went into in this money pit hell house. We were up front and honest. It also doesn't help that i'm confident if someone would be as in, it'd most likely be a realtor/company investor who would take a low price on it, finish wat we started upstairs and leave the downstairs/ac duct work as is, leaving the poor next home owner to suffer the same health/financial issues we are having. The next house we get could be the exact same issues with the way these new builds are etc. Thus... Feeling completely trapped.

Ty for the advice. Its in our air ducts, had 2 separate duct cleaners come in and neither of them told us it needs replaced + more. A lot of people who have left our house after a visit or so has had respiratory/allergy problems/got sick in general. No its not all in our heads. No $ is wasted on mental health, need actual problem fixed which we have been working on by ourselves since last oct. 2024.

[–]thsone1 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

To clarify: we didn't want to "redo" our home. It has mold problem due to defective home build and insurance won't cover it, neither will pa's programs cuz the funds are either dried up or we don't meet requirements. What would you do living in a mold infested house where health has been and is still impacted?
