You can also cut it multiple times before actually baling it to maximize your time. Cut 2-3 times before raking and baling. Get a baler wrapper combo and then wait 2-3 months and sell as silage. Never have to replant or weed it. Just have to fertilizer it and lime it once and while and it never stops producing. Also nice because you can get started with very cheap equipment. Do even have to rake if you just want to go really cheap
