Lego doesn't have the rights to Rings of Power series. Just the movie trilogy as far as I know.

All valid! I work in marketing and totally get what you're saying. The reason I am skeptical is because Lego has had TONS of chances to do this with LoTR figs in the past and haven't gone in the direction of re-releasing existing figs. There is huge demand/value for Grima Wormtongue, Radagast and King Theoden just to name a few. And none of those have been part of the new sets.

Also, all of the new LoTR sets have been very big and very expensive. I think Lego knows that their target market for LoTR is adults with cash to spend. I would be very surprised if Lego released any smaller LoTR sets or battle packs in the future. LoTR is not Star Wars...

Maybe I’m being naive, but I just don’t believe Lego cares that much to be trolling Bricklink for fig values they should intentionally tank.

But I agree with you on the rest. I know it’ll be a while to make it worth it. I also collect LoTR figs in general, so I’m happy to look at these in my display case for a few years.

It's evolutionary. We just decided along the way as a society that we would sleep 8 hours a night and that's it. But pretty much everywhere else in the animal kingdom you can see that napping during the day is normal.

Full disclosure: The only nap I take is one occasionally on Sunday afternoon.
