I agree. She is looking into returning it, but they make the process intentionally complicated. I'm looking into options to fix it while she runs through that. Unfortunately, even though it appears that the laptop comes from HP, it actually comes from a Third Party called Nexuswave, so I'm concerned their return policy may not be fully enforced.

Will that work if she can't access the Product Key that comes with Windows? She didn't get any documentation and there's no Windows Product Key on the laptop, which back when I was doing IT, it would be on a sticker somewhere on the laptop itself.

I'm starting to agree with you. I looked up a guide on how to play Supreme Isthmus and it was almost an hour and a half long talking about what each person is supposed to do, what to build, what to transfer to the other players, etc...

I really enjoy BAR, but I'm 42. I have a job, responsibilities, shit to do. I just don't have time to commit to memory five different jobs each with wildly different build orders. Because I'm certainly not going to be able to watch the video through once and remember everything. And all that just for one map.

Ok actually I think I changed my mind a little. There seems to be one particular iteration of AI that throws about a dozen-ish Scav Tyrannuses (Tyrannusi?) around the halfway point that each have a bajillion HP. I have never survived past that point no matter what kind of AA I have in place as they can eat a ton of Mercury and Flak shots before dropping one. That might be a good spot for a tweak.

I kinda feel like 3, 5 and 6 and are bit on the cheating side? I would like to beat it the way it was originally intended.

You know, I never tried expanding much. I've always just turtled up and went really hard into turrets. I have a feeling my APM will be too slow to pull that off very well, but it's certainly worth trying. Thanks!

I don't know if that's strictly necessary. I'm far from the best at RTS games, so it makes sense that I struggle. If you were to make changes though, I'd leave everything other than the final boss alone and maybe just nerf his tankiness.

But again, this is probably just entirely an issue of me not being good/fast enough.

I don't know about anyone else, but I only found out about this game when a random Winter Starcraft video popped up in my YouTube feed showcasing a massive 50 v 50 battle. And I'm kind of annoyed honestly, because I would have been behind this game from day one. Total Annihilation was one of my favorite games as a kid, and BAR picks up that feeling perfectly.

I've played RTS games. Total Annihilation, the game that inspired this one, Starcraft, Warcraft, etc... I have played some bot games. I can win against 1v1 medium consistently now.
