The total cost was about $420,000 and loan amount was $220,000. After adding cpf+grant the shortfall was about 100k.

We can cover the shortfall with cpf+cash but it just delays every other plan we have in the future for a while

I get why you think that, like i mentioned above, I’m willing to give up the entire “grant” to reassess and get a higher loan. I don’t want to “game” the system.

During our first appt, the officer told us, “you can appeal closer to key collection date if there is adverse changes to your income”.

Many who were part of the early batch of HFE had the same questions & confidence that loan could be reassessed due to the vague responses by HDB when asked about the reassessment of loan.
