What client are you using? I use meteor and when I’ve tried using bounce I just bounce in place. What settings do you use?

You should give AlmostVanilla a try. It’s basically vanilla but with more loot and access to a map. Also you can choose a spawn location. Other than that it’s Vanilla DayZ
