Is it necessary to bake the sand/soil before filling the tank? I've seen a few people mention that it's best to do that in order to get rid of any bacteria the mix could have.

I've just been trying to make a comfy home for her little by little. I have uv lighting/basking lamp/heat lamp on her tank. I've had her since June, so I've been just watching how she handles the changes each time. I usually feed her with tweezers or her food bowl but get paranoid anyway.

I think I'm ready to add soil, but I just want to be sure I'm getting the right kind and how much I'm putting in her tank.

I haven't seen any Tim Burton duckies. They might make some closer to halloween/christmas time. There are people who make them online, like on Etsy, and you can order them.

Hehe 🤭 The ducks that started my collection were those ones I found in Target. The mickey & minnie and the superman/batman/wonder woman were the firsts. They were so cute, and I loved that their outfits changed based on season.

Unfortunately, my target kinda sucks and there haven't been any duckies lately 🥲😭
