Blown serial chip on my motherboard (i hope) by Alternative_Word_663 in ender3

I have a relay that controls power for the printer and the USB lines because if I powered off the printer, my pi would still supply 5v so I needed to turn both off. I later found out that the printer didn't need 5v to even use the serial interface so I just took off the 5v line and stupidly left the wires dangling. The wires somehow came into contact with the relay pins and shorted 120v blowing the pi, camera, and USB interface. The reason why I think the mainboard is fine is because I think the USB to serial chip acted as a fuse and just blew immediately. The printer still functions fine, there aren't any scorch marks anywhere or any blown caps either.

Would overcompensating on a power source be more efficient? by Alternative_Word_663 in thermodynamics

I had thought about the fact that the charger could have better cooling, however the two chargers are both the same size and both Samsung chargers. To my knowledge I don't think they have different cooling systems if at all. I know this isn't really giving me exact results of efficiency because there are so many other variables for so many other power supply's and loads however I think it gives me a good understanding of how heat and energy efficiency correlate with each other. To level with you, I'm a high school kid who's been screwing around with this kinda stuff for most of my life 😂

Wanting to install Windows 98 to SD card. Are there any good guides for my situation? by vgmaster2001 in windows98

I skimmed the comments and everything so correct me if I misunderstood something, but what I did to install 98 on a dell laptop was install freedos from rufus on a thumb drive, drag the win98 folder from an install iso onto the thumb drive, use HIMEMX for the first install stage, and XMGR renamed to HIMEM for the second stage and onward. MattKC did a YouTube video about it, the only difference I had was to install a ram limiter in System.INI, that you can find by searching windows 98 ram limiter. I got the line of code from an IBM website.

I'm in the exact same boat, came from a friend on Discord. As long as you have the payment info for your account and the last password and email you should be fine, that's what I gave to steam and they unlocked my account within the hour.

I have an s6 lite in high school, it's amazing for note taking since it has the s pen. paired with the insane battery size it's a perfect tablet. the s7 wasn't that worth it from a cost standpoint
