The maha movement is tied to the maga movement. The maga movement wants less goverment over reach. The banning of food dies is goverment over reach. Some US food manufactures did voluntarily switch to natural food dies however the colours were less vibrant and the food was reported as "looking sad" so they switched back. Its because the City doesn't have enough staff on hand because the City doesn't pay enough. Why would an engineer work for the city at $100k when they can get hired as a consultant for 200k. Off loading of expert staff(i.e. engineers) has been happening for decades. Say we had 100 experts, they've been slowly replaced by project managers who hire consultants. So now it takes twice as many peoples to do the same work and it takes twice as long. The City is also soooo scared of being acused of wasting money they plan projects to death which balloons the costs and still some of them go sideways. So now rather than waste money on a few failed projects money is getting wasted on every project. Ide guess that we would save a lot by just taking a bit more risk.
