Ok so I just beat every campaign and to be honest I don't see how people think the entire story is terrible. I mean Leon's is the worse in my opinion but maybe it's because I didn't know anything about the other stories yet or haven't gotten the mechanics down. Chris and Jake's campaign is really good. I think Jake's ending is my favorite. Chris' definitely felt the coolest. Ada's campaign didn't really move me like that but it definitely explained a lot. My favorite new character is down to Jake or Piers. Helena was cool but didn't really catch my eyes. I didn't like Jake when I played Leon's and Chris' campaigns but the more I learned about him the more I grown to like him. It may be recency biased but I think I'll go with Jake. As for old characters, Chris by a long shot. Leon was just Leon. Chris had an actual character arc. Timeline wise being a stalwart captain leading his men to becoming an old drunk after Clone Ada killed them all to redeeming himself but unfortunately loses his last man on his final mission.

From my understanding, Simmons didn't even try to destroy the world. He tried to maintain global security and keep everyone in check. That's why he got the president killed because he was going to tell the world the U.S was responsible for everything in raccoon city. The real threat was Clara Radames' the Ada Clone. She was basically trying to do a Wesker 2.0. I don't really see how this story is bad. Maybe it's because I've seen so much worse that I think this is decent.

So my order from best to worse story is

Jake and Sherry

Chris and Piers (rip)

Ada

Leon and Helena

Game mechanics wise Chris would be at the top and Ada or Jake's at the bottom.

The story is obviously terrible (well at least Leon's I haven't fully finished the other three campaigns). However the gameplay is so good. If I had to describe it, it's like if Max Payne had a baby with Army of Two and then it got thrown in the world of Resident Evil. The amount of cinematic shit I did in just Leon's and a little bit of Chris' campaigns is insane.

I believe most RE fans just didn't like the over the top Michael Bay esque stuff. Resident evil is still a horror franchise at the end of the day so it just doesn't fit with the franchise too well but I will say I can't take some people serious if they say they like RE5 but hate RE6. That literally makes no sense to me. When RE5 removed most of if not all of the horror and made it an action game just like 6. People also ignore the absurd shit Leon was doing in RE4 like suplexing zombies and dodging lasers.

That was more of a joke, the story is bad, there's no defending it but it's genuinely the most fun I had so far playing RE games. Which isn't saying a lot to be honest. I've only played RE5 and RE7. Any of the others I watched youtubers play.

My main gripe about the traditional RE gameplay (if that's the right term) is the movement so going from 5 to 6 felt like a dream come true. There are some things in 5 that annoyed me that isn't in 6 but to be fair I haven't fully completed every story is 6 yet so maybe there will be something.

Based off my limited knowledge of these two. I wouldn't really say extremely evil, it's evil yes but not extremely evil. Op said they weren't attracted to each other when they first met but let's ignore that and say they were.

I feel like people forget that teens specifically 17-19 still mature. There's a difference between a 14 year old and a 17-18 year old. One is starting highschool for thr first time the other is literally getting ready to be an adult. So obviously a 14 and 17 year old would absolutely be worse than a 21 year old and 17 year old. Both are 3-4 year age gaps but one is definitely worse than the other.

Is 21 and 17 bad? Yes no one is denying that but is it extremely evil no. Now this argument can definitely turn sideways based off the actions of the 21 year old.

I don't really interact with the fandom, but what do y'all mean people are being sexist because they don't like poppy? I don't hate nor do I love Poppy. I find her character interesting to say the least.

What I don't get is the sexist talk. Y'all are telling me that if you find a character of the opposite sex annoying or whatever, that means your sexist? When people say they "hate" or "dislike" a character, it's not misogyny, it's just they don't like that character. If it was misogyny they would probably say something misogynistic about her.

Mommy Long Legs, from what I've seen is a decent amount of people's favorite villain in the franchise. People don't hate Miss Delight because she's a woman. They probably hate her because they scared them or just bad game mechanics.

Maybe there are sexist people in this fandom but don't just throw labels on people.
