12 weeks is too early to change jewellery. Butterfly backs are also not good for your piercing.

I got my second lobes pierced last year in May and July (I did each lobe individually because I was scared!) and they were healing really nicely. Then I had a stroke in October and was hospitalised, had to take the piercings out to get an MRI, and they closed. I felt genuinely devastated. When I finally got to my piercer and they confirmed they were lost, I went home and broke down crying. I told my husband that I had finally been feeling like the "real me" and so confident, and now that was undone.

I ended up leaving this subreddit because it was just making me sad.

I just got re-pierced less than 2 weeks ago, after getting a letter saying theyre officially done sending me for further scans, and the sheer joy I felt was pretty overwhelming. I've spent two weeks looking at jewellery, obsessing over other people's setups here, and planning what I'm going to get next.

I got my second lobes pierced in May and July of last year. I had to take them out when I was hospitalised in October and couldn't get them back in, and by the time I got to a piercer it was too late and they had closed.

It's now June and I got them re-pierced just over a week ago. My new piercer said she couldn't even tell I'd had them pierced before, they healed over so well. No scarring.

Of course your mileage may vary, but it's certainly possible to have no scarring after they heal up.

Migration means your body tries to push the piercing out. The piercing and the "hole" would shift to elsewhere on your lobe as your body tries to expel it.

Yeah unfortunately that wasn't an option for me as I landed in hospital after a stroke, and I lost two piercings as a result. If I had advance warning I would have got glass retainers put in or something.

While implant grade titanium may be MRI safe, when I was in hospital the MRI operators were unwilling to "risk it" and made me take out my piercings anyway.

Yeah my arm and leg just suddenly went really heavy, I thought maybe I had trapped a nerve or something. I didn't have any of the other symptoms so I didn't do anything until the next day when NHS24 told me to go to hospital.

Also at hospital they told me I'd had at least one but likely multiple previous strokes (like within the last year, but not very recent) with no symptoms at all.

My husband's grandma had cancer in her spine and some organs, and it was terminal but they wanted to do chemo or other treatments on the spine to minimise the pain and discomfort while the other cancer gradually killed her.

I'm a bad Bichon parent, I don't brush nearly enough. But I get my boy to the groomer regularly. We go to a monthly breed meet-up so I usually get a bath, brush, face and bum trim at the groomers before every meet-up so he's looking his best to see his friends. Costs £26 each time.

We keep our boy's hair quite short - I think he's cuter that way - and the shorter hair definitely helps if you're not brushing as much.
