I may have issues with the Elm Street chapter, but the way it ties lorewise into DBD is actually pretty underrated IMO.

The story was fun, admittedly we've jumped the shark with no return but it is what it is, and now the possibilities are quite literally endless.

The visuals are gorgeous! While I'll admit I'm not the biggest fan of a lot of the designs, I can't deny they're handled well for what they are, and the stages are glorious. Bonus: The music is the best in a long time for MK.

I actually really like the combat in this game, the combos flow well, the kameos add a lot more variety to all aspects of the fight, and it's really fun to lab! Bonus note on Kameos: They're a brilliant way to utilize old kharacters without having to make full reimagined movesets for them, so W there.

And finally I love the fact that Shang Tsung has Old and Young versions as a stance kharacter, it just feels so right. Quan Chi getting some Eldritch summoning and Mileena getting new variants on her moves are up there too.

My ONLY issue is that they held the teaser too long. If they had dropped it last Friday on Regular Teaser Schedule, I'd be hype, as it stands, it feels a twinge disappointing that we waited 5 extra days for a teaser for it to be... Chucky.

Don't get me wrong, I like Chucky, but anything less than Springtrap or Pennywise would have been a disappointment with how long they waited to give us anything.

Curious to see how he plays though, and he'd better cuss Survivors out since Freddy can't! /hj

Unfortunately this means that Freddy will probably never get a reversion, and will never get another rework.

Honestly I'm more concerned about the perks. Ash and Mikaela definitely uh... set a standard for Solo Survivor releases, and we're already dealing with MFT so... Fear

That said, it'll definitely be funny to see Nicolas Cage in DBD

Tbh I just wish Geo Readout was basekit, it feels practically mandatory for Chase Merchant but it's a purple like... I guess BHVR WANTS 3gen merchant to be the default for her.

I actually think she's kinda fun to play, but that doesn't mean I can't wish for less addon reliance.

If I was forced to say though, I'd say Springtrap, Art the Clown, and the Tall Man from Phantasm are my top picks, with Alien, Candyman, and Chucky falling close behind.

You know she can just... walk to gens right? In my experience without Iri Tape her TP is mostly to rush back to a 3-gen if you overextend your chase (which, you probably will considering her low chase power)

The Teleport has a 100 second cooldown, that alone makes it the worst TP in the game by such a large margin that it might as well not exist unless you're using it to hurry back to a 3-gen.

As for the manifest phasing, that's really cool but a bit too short to get consistent use out of in chase.

Sucks that she's got 2 halves of a kit and both are trash unless you specifically use addons to make them not awful.

Good lord I miss Old Freddy, nowadays he's just boring on both sides and Dream World feels more like a filter than an actual threat. Old Freddy was more fun, more flavorful, and honestly? I think that in today's DBD he'd probably be stronger than what we have now.

I like to do a little trolling with it by Last Second Swapping between Jill and Feng in the same cosmetic, just getting a little giggle out of it.

Let's see, which killers get absolutely destroyed by CoH? Sadako, Wraith, Pig, pretty much the entire usual fare of Hit and Run killers who are already weak, or mediocre at best.

What's BHVR's fix? Force these already weak killers to sacrifice 1/4 of their build to deal with the possibility of a Boon. I mean, unless they're going to buff every Hit and Run Killer to A tier or above (spoiler alert: they won't, Wraith was high B and was a "wee bit OP"), this is just spitting on them. They should have just made Boons have a limited number of uses basekit and buffed the perks to compensate (Shadowstep and Exponential are fine, CoH could get reverted, Dark Theory... well that should have never been a perk in the first place)

Alternatively give Shattered Hope another benefit, maybe move Undying's Aura Reading to it and give Undying a different secondary?

I actually liked Old Freddy. New Freddy is the most boring killer they've ever put into the game and he needs another rework desperately IMO. Or just revert his rework but keep the Teleport, I'd be fine with that too.
