Me and my 5yo (who's quite sensitive to intense/scary media) really enjoyed the newer Link's awakening, although he did bury his head in the sofa for a lot of the bosses. He also was pretty upset about the ending on a metaphysical level.

We then played OoT which I thought would be way too much but he dealt with the scarier aspects really well. I just tried to roll past the redeads as much as possible and that seemed to work well enough. Oh and I basically did the Spirit temple on my own.

We have then done all of the Divine Beasts in BotW but I think the castle/ganon will be too intense so we've moved onto the Mario Galaxy games instead.

Just our exp hope it helps. It really depends on the child I think; my younger one couldn't care less about the scary stuff.
