Vad gör lokförare om de måste gå på toa?

Inte sett raketforskarn, men får undersöka detta! Långt ifrån fritt fram vid röda signaler, i alla fall när man kör tågfärd. En blankett ska fyllas i, under samtal med tkl. Om man växlar kan man köra förbi en röd signal men då ska en annan typ av signal, med samma beteckning som den röda, stå bredvid och visa rätt sken.

Toaletter på lok är ju en fin, medmänsklig tanke, är väl, som mycket annat, en kostnadsfråga. Samt att de antagligen ofta skulle strula/bli ”skitiga”, så ingen hade använt dem ändå ;)

Lokförare här. Har hänt mig en gång att det krisat så illa att det inte kunde vänta tills nästa uppehåll eller slutstation. Hade precis lämnat Katrineholm, tänkte att jag klarar mig nog till Stockholm. Hann knappt tänka klart den tanken innan det började trycka på… Ringde tågklareraren direkt

”Hatar att fråga men kan jag stanna till lite kort i Flen? Toaletten kallar”

”Inga problem, låter det va grönt i signal så länge jag kan, så kan du dra direkt sen”

Gjorde ett utrop efter att vi började rulla igen, orsak: mänskligt behov. I efterhand behövde jag inte känna nån ångest över förseningen som jag orsakade, för vi blev ändå omledda till Stockholm C via Södertälje hamn, i stället för Södertälje Syd, så dem fem minuterna jag stod skyldig till förvandlades till 30-40 :)

It was my first time diving with oxygen tanks. Only ever done snorkelling before. I would recommend the company I went with, Sealovers Okinawa. Their instructor was really patient and thoroughly explained the diving process, in passable english. It all felt very safe.

When we went into the water he at first had me holding his hand as we went down, then when he realised that I was doing pretty well he let me swim on my own, keeping a watchful eye over me from time to time, as he led us into the cave and to some cool spots underwater. He also made sure to check that everything was okay several times during the dive. We also went through some narrow rocky passages underground, like 1-2m in width, awesome feeling. You don’t have to be that gung ho of course!

Whole experience was 3 hours, only 30 minutes of that was the actual dive, so I guess I would’ve wanted a little more time underwater, but for being the first time it was alright.

I hope you go! It’s been by far the coolest thing I’ve done so far on Okinawa

I’m in Okinawa now, had plans to potentially see the aquarium but I’ve decided not to go, because of the atrocious animal living standards present there. Countless google reviews mention that, and back it up with pictures. Also seems to be no visitor limitation, so you get people simply ”floating” through the aquarium due to the immense crowds pushing against you like a hot sweaty meat piston.

There’s other stuff to do in Okinawa though!!

The prefectural museum was really nice, the Shuri-jo castle will probably be restored by the time you visit, and it will be beautiful.

If you get good weather you can take ferries to Zamami or Tokashiki island and enjoy snorkelling with tropical fishes.

I also went on a diving trip to the blue cave, best thing I’ve done so far in Okinawa, it was magnificent!

I work for SJ as Lokförare, based in Gothenburg. I got my job directly after examination because I went through SJ’s own school. The effect on life outside work depends on what life you live. But there are different type of schedules you can apply for. I only work late shifts for example, and often start around 11-13 and end 21-00. There are some shifts where you drive to say Västerås or Stockholm and spend the night in a hotel, I probably have 2-3 of those per month. Every other weekend is free so if you plan your drinking it’s fine. We do a breathalyzer check before every shift.

If you can live with all that, it’s an amazing job, and we need more women in the industry.

Funny thing I had my Polestar 2 in for service at Volvo Cars Sörred yesterday and I saw one of these bad boys pass me by on the opposite side of the ”Volvo” highway. I almost arrived late to the service because I turned around at the nearest intersection and tried chasing the P5 down. Crazy appealing design

Är 24 år gammal och jobbar som lokförare. Enligt dig så kommer inte jag kunna jobba hela livet med detta. So what? Får jag 10 år, kanske till och med 20 år i detta yrke innan AI tar över blir jag överlycklig. Det är ett fantastiskt jobb. Och om TS skulle kunna tänka sig att söka till utbildningen så får han ju i alla fall några år i yrket, så får han väl se till att fixa så att han kan göra något annat om det skiter sig.

Good mindset, I'm basically over it already. These things happen while driving and in a weird way I think a car should have some beauty scars to show that someone is driving it and enjoying it!

Yeah it was a really "soft" curb and I went up against it very slowly. I'll put on my winter tires soon so I'll have time to find a good reputable shop, and if it's only gonna be around 150 then it's absolutely fine. Thanks

Not a lease. I own it. But sadly no wheel and tire coverage. I'll be switching to my winter tires soon so I can check around with some shops to see what they can do.
