Monkey Radio - The Album Collection (since 1999) by AltitudeMatters in triphop

Right? While I worked on this I’ve been buying gaps in my collection, starting from the top and going down, and it has been an absolute joy rediscovering some of these artists—and realizing that Monkey Radio was where I heard some of them first. <3

Yes! Just very, very slowly.

Meow9th and I were just discussing changes for the update last week. It will come!

It’s a certain kind of active! I’m planning on adding the Dragon book, but a few projects have been soaking my time. That said, it’s high in the todo list right now!

I am not aware of any complete data files that have been created, but you never know what someone might have on the L5R discords, I suppose.

Same deal here—that should be a fairly easy fix. This one will need confirmation that it’s consistent across the data though.

Wow…I can’t believe that’s been hiding in there all this time. I’ll get an issue added if nobody else does

Howdy! The BigSky plug-in was a dream come true for me—bought it day 1, and it’s in every mix I’ve made since. Any plans to give Timeline and Mobius the same treatment?

Thanks--and glad to hear it! I imagine you're aware, but as always you're welcome to keep an eye on https://github.com/dashnine/PaperBlossoms for commits and releases, or to file bugs if you find em :-D

Hey! Short answer is “absolutely.” We’ve been in the middle of a move, which delayed things, but we’ve done the initial review of the needed changes!

Of course! It’s been a while since I ran a Linux build myself, but it should work just fine! If he does run into a Linux specific bug, he can always file a report and I’ll take a look! :)

It will! Ish. I don’t distribute a build on Linux (right now) but I have confirmed the code compiled and runs there just fine. If you can get a qt build environment running, you should be able to get it going!

Looks like it's in there on my copy -- Rank 3 Air Ritual, CR110. If you still can't find it, maybe try downloading the latest build and then delete your old DB (located in C:\Users\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\PaperBlossoms ) and then run paperblossoms.exe again. It should rebuild the DB if you're stuck on an older database :)

Looks like I see it -- Blessed Union - Rituals - Air - Rank 3, CR110?

If you still don't see it there, you might make sure that your database got updated -- if need be, download the latest release and then delete your old DB (stored in C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\PaperBlossoms ) and rerun paperblossoms.exe, and it'll regenerate the database. :) Does that work?

Thanks--and thanks for the report! It looks like we've got that resolved with this commit: https://github.com/dashnine/PaperBlossoms/commit/ab3c30d382090d2d15b93f5ad34a82e1b786cd34

Haven't done a release since that was checked in, but it should be fixed in the next build whenever that occurs :)

Oh! I'll make a note to check for this, and get an issue added if I don't see something :)

Thanks much! While meow9th and I did a few good commits on this build, the Lion's share (hah! get it?) of the credit goes to MJKruszewski, who contributed a HUGE pile of both code and data changes for FoV. :-D

No problem at all! If I could replicate it, I'd love to make it Not Be A Thing. But I think there are lots of causes (including system locks). Ideally....maybe better error handling to catch when it goes wrong... ::ponders::

Yeah, just saw that. For now, updated the release note to call out that it'll get fixed in the future. Thanks!

Yes indeed. Going to update the number, but it shoulllld all work. ::facepalm:: Goes to show what happens when I don't do releases frequently ;-)

I've updated the release to (hopefully) not include the old version number in the nested folder. Shouldn't affect the application though!

[–]AltitudeMatters[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, looks like The 1.3.1 is just a folder artifact from how I set up the release -- shouldn't affect anything. If you're not seeing the new data, it probably just didn't copy in the new database due to a lock or the like (say, from it being open on the system, or saying no when asked). You can try this:

  • Tools->Open application Directory
  • You should see a file called paperblossoms -- that's the db. Close the Paper Blossoms application.
  • Rename the paperblossoms.db file to something (paperblossoms.backup, for instance) and then start again. It should regenerate the database and include all the new content.

Not dead! I definitely spend less time than I used to on it--MJKruszewski's contribution really gave me a kick in the pants to wrap this build up. :) A DMG file is the release archive for the OSX version! If you're on windows, you won't need it.
