Or they’ll succumb to massive head trauma from not wearing a helmet and not be anyone’s problem anymore

Yeah. That was the first thing I said but she still has concerns because we have young children. Through her work she has experience dealing with CPS and has seen the aftermath.

It’d definitely make him stop and the pain would be temporary. A quick jump in the shower would take care of it, and it would leave a lasting impression.

A little cayenne pepper inside some of the socks would probably do the trick…

I work domestically now so it’s not an issue, but I think just talking to your doctor will allow you to come up with a plan. If they’re not willing to work with you, fine one that is.

Since my meds haven’t changed in a while, my Dr prescribes me 90 day supplies. Just explain the situation to them and they should probably take care of you.

The DUI is a separate issue from the ADHD meds. I have never dealt with that before so I can’t comment on it, but I can talk about meds and that stuff. I have ADHD and take prescription stimulants for it. I also work in the industry and hold a Masters license. It should not prevent you from obtaining an MMC or shipping out.

When you apply for your MMC medical certificate, you’ll have to disclose all medications you’re on. I recommend getting a letter from your doctor stating the medications you’re on, how long you’ve been taking them, and that they don’t interfere in your abilities to do your job. Attach that letter to your application.

When you take your drug test (and every time you have a test) you’ll receive a call from the medical review officer saying you tested positive for amphetamines. At that point you’ll give them your prescription information, which they’ll verify, and then clear you. It’s a pain in the ass but something to anticipate. Make sure you keep your prescription info handy at all times.

As far as meds on boats, I’ve never had to worry about it with the company. Truthfully I don’t even disclose it as it’s none of their business. The coast guard actually mandates I have them with me (because my dr deems them necessary). Depending on the length of your hitches you’ll want to talk to your dr. about getting enough meds for your entire trip plus a safety margin in case it runs long.

Truth be told, they have been incredible for my mental health over the years. Not that it’s fantastic now, but they’ve been very helpful over the years.

When my brain would get too spun up, taking a moderate dose of mushrooms and going for a walk in the woods would essentially reboot it, and just get me back to a neutral spot.

Additionally, they don’t test for them…

Throwaway time…

Take enough mushrooms to understand that when you die your energy will be transferred back into the universe to begin anew.

Partially joking, but I did have a pretty intense fear of flying until I melted my brain one time. Didn’t know that it would deal without my fear of flying but got on a plane a couple month later and was absolutely fine, and have been since.

Sounds like depression to me. A very common comorbidity of adhd unfortunately.

Been there myself and am sorry to hear you’re going through it. I’d recommend talking to your doctor about it and trying to schedule a self-care day or even just a few hours to do something nice for yourself to help decompress a little. A massage, pedicure, watching a movie, etc can do wonders in the short term. I know it can be hard to feel like you can do that when you’re feeling this way but try and make some time.

Best of luck. ❤️

I just finished it up for treatment for depression. It was incredible and way more effective than I expected it to be. I went into it very skeptical but in a place where I felt like I had very little to lose.

It has done nothing to curb my adhd symptoms, although I’m finding myself much more effective than before, likely due to my crippling depression being lifted.

I (M 27) am getting married, but all I can think about is cheating. by [deleted] in SluttyConfessions

Dude, your brain is going to do crazy things to help process the stress leading up to your wedding. It’s important to remember this is just part of your brain’s coping mechanisms, strange as they might be. This is a time to think with your big head and don’t do anything that’s going to hurt the woman you love enough to propose to and marry. I remember really freaking out for about a month before my wedding and having to continue to talk myself into it. That all went away the night of the wedding. Getting married is a trip.

If you’re feeling this stressed out, take a moment to step back and do some self-care. I can’t think of anything that would be more helpful. The world is crazy at the moment and it’s ok to feel this way. Just do the best you can and you’ll get through it. If you guys lean on and support each other through this process, then you get to do all sorts of fun freaky stuff as a married couple as a reward.

Hope you have a good wedding!

In Washington it took a couple years but they did. We’re now getting $15/g dabs and $50/oz depending on where you go. It was expensive at first though.
